Sorry, but I've had to write this in a hurry. Please go to the 'Cuddy' thread (Reply No. 578) for more information.

This is what he wanted to repost.
I was just reading an article on Accrington's web thingy and was touched by a story I read. Against Newcastle, they had a bucket collection for a little 3 year old girl called Tess Sullivan, who has a rare terminal illness called Alexander's disease, which is a genetic degenerative disorder, which dramatically reduces life expectancy. Just 50 kids in the world suffer with this condition. The people up north are trying to raise enough money to send her on a trip of a lifetime.
I thought that perhaps we could have a collection ourselves and show how generous us Southerners can be. Tell me what you think and if a positive response is given, then perhaps we could have a whip round against The Stanley.
Any thoughts?

I'd be happy to help out with a bucket collection if volunteers were needed?

(Worked it out now)

really feel we could raise alot for this little girl with the size of the homecrowd
Her life expectancy is I believe at max another 7 years (taking her to ten) and potentially just another 2
As the illness progresses she will lose her mobility, being able to swallow or chew food and also will go blind .
Terrible story and some thingsa re bigger then football, I have no problem in putting money that way rather then to 12th man for one week (although I cna't actually attend the match)

I'll chuck a couple of quid into a collection if there is one.
Going to the Priory first, then the game.
I will be using the Number 5 bus.
This concludes my plans for Saturday afternoon.

Great idea. Bucket around the Priory would be good too. I'll have a couple less beers so it'll be helping the NHS out too!

It'll be nice to see a few buckets around the ground too. I'll certainly be giving a quid or two if I see a collection bucket.

From ASFC
Yesterday evening a bucket collection took place for a very special little girl, Tess Sullivan and her family.
Three-year old Tess is one of just 50 children in the world suffering from a rare terminal condition called Alexander’s disease, a genetic degenerative disorder which dramatically reduces life expectancy. This bucket collection was to raise money to go towards creating as many memorable experiences for the family as possible.
With your help and generous donations family and friends of Tess Sullivan raised a fantastic £1,276.16 at our Carling Cup tie against Newcastle United last night! Helen & Steve, parents of Tess want to thank everyone who reached into their pockets to help and raise money to fund a trip of a lifetime!
For any further donations or fundraising opportunities please do not hesitate to contact Danielle Fox on 01254 356957 or email danielle.fox@accringtonstanley.co.uk

Mary Page from Oxford United's Commercial Dept. said that Mr. Brown wanted to have a look at our site first. I'm not sure if I gave her the right information on how to get on here. Someone help please!
