Well done everyone. Amersham Dave, Vulcan and the other volunteers big respect to you for organising this and huge admiration for all who donated. I didn't have the opportunity to give yesterday. How do I go about donating to Tess and her family through paypal without having their email address? I'm not very savvy with these things. One trick. You mean I'm not the only one who knows as much about computors as I do about what the LIB DEMS stand for? ;D

Ha ha. I feel a bit of a nonse about this.
Last Tuesday we watched our side play against West Ham's millionaires and bloody enjoyed it.
Giving some money towards Tess and her family so they can give their little girl the best they can and have some great memories to get them through the tough times is a far, far better use of a tenner.
Tess and her family deserve to have the best of the life they've got left together. If any little I can send them makes a difference then it's money well sent.
I'm still no wiser how to send them money via paypal without their email address but they will be getting a cheque from me in the post next week.

No problem Vulcan. Thanks again to you all for making this happen and I hope the bucket collection isn't the end of our efforts to help this lovely little girl and her family.
Helen I hope your family get to go on your Disney cruise as soon as possible. Don't forget to send us a postcard! ;D
All the best Tess xxx

I was serious about me not knowing a thing about bluddy computors!

AD do you know how much we've collected? OX26 we collected £555. OK, it's not life-changing, but in the incredibly short time we had, that is fantastic. I don't think it's finished yet, either........

Did you notice the Oxford Mail had quoted the post from Helen on this site? They must be reading it like they did with TIU.
Nice article though. Well done to everyone that arranged the collection on Saturday, it was a great effort.

This story isn't going away just yet. The Accrington Observer just rang me for the story.

I've sent my donation via paypal today. Well done again to all involved.
It's great to have some coverage for this in the Oxford Mail. Yes it makes a change to have some positive news about us football supporters.
Much, much more importantly Oxfordshire folk will read that article and hopefully find it in their hearts to send the Sullivan family more of the money they need.

Just had an email from Tess's mum, Helen. She says she's had £75 sent to her from us Oxford United fans. She says thanks again. That's £630.00 so far. If you'd still like to help, and don't know how to send your donation, why not write a cheque to; Mrs. Helen Sullivan and put it in an envelope, then give it to the ticket office, under the family stand on Saturday, against Morecambe? I'll collect the cheques (put yours in an envelope, marked; Mrs. H. Sullivan) after the game. No cash please. Mrs Sullivan said the target is to get £5,550.00. I think they've reached just over half. No need to send loads - just perhaps £3-£4 would be lovely, but they all add up! Well done all, Dave (cuddy)
Any chance you could let me know through here if you intend giving a cheque in on saturday? (save me hanging around)

Thank you for offering to donate, whatever. I don't think we should go round this time, because some people might say we're over-doing it. I wouldn't though. But I'll be there at the priory on saturday, at the front of the marquee, if anyone wants to give me a donation (Cheque preferred) or in the ticket office, like I said earlier. Ta whatever.

Just a thought, but I know that a number of banks run something called a matched giving scheme where if one of their staff members is involved in a charitable event the bank will match funds raised.
Just a thought!
