That's probably cos our resident Chelsea fan is missing. There's plenty of talk on Liverpool but there are no Liverpool fans. Maybe Chelsea are just ultra boring?

Isn't Dougie 09 a Liverpool?
baldy - maybe I missed it but I've only once debated about Kinniburgh and Tonkin with you properly and that thread hardly got anywhere if I remember.
For the record Kinni jizzes on Tonkin all day long.

He's a bit like Alfie. Kids latch on to him and can't see beyond him and think he has a blinder every week. He's been below par for most games I've seen him and while I accept that Tonkin had a dodgy patch I still think he is vastly superior to Kinniburgh in just about every respect.

Is that a joke or have you misread? You're the only person on this forum who has preferred Tonkin over Kinni in previous weeks. 17 - Southend he was poor and I never denied it. One thing I can say, is I normally agree with you completely about OUFC related issues. Tonkin v Kinni bemuses me. He got the lowest rating of everyone who went to the Torquay game! (read player ratings thread - not sure if you attended by the way and only read the first 3) What I don't understand, is that I want the BEST left back in the team to play. If Tonkin is better than Kinni and picks up form - I want Tonkin in the team. Yet when Kinni was in the team - not gifting the opposition goals - you seemed sure Tonkin should start. - this clearly means you couldn't see the benefit of winning when we have a new leftback in the team or Kinniburghs ability. My one OVERRIDING reason why I'd give Kinniburgh a longer time to settle than I would Tonkin is AGE and POTENTIAL. Kinni played better than this LAST year (actaully he's not played too well so thats nto exactly hard) but he is a massive improvemetn on Tonkin. What do you see in Tonkin? His blistering pace? His excellent defensive positioning for a left mid? His goal kick-crossing ability?

And I resent the connotation you think my age makes me less informed. The information we both pick up is from watching the games. We both are ST holders and its how we interpret the information/focus our attention that makes us differ.

Although I do feel your being a little harsh on Tonkin, remember the run in last season he hardly put a foot wrong....

Am I being a bit harsh? I would disagree - well done him for a great season last season - but his current form/place in the team shouldn't be affected by form months earlier. In my opinion anyway. Junior I am suprised that you haven't commetned more - unless you're baldy - because I have heard you be quite 'anti-Tonkin' during matches. You are only 3 rows behind me!

Really? I've got no problem with Tonkin, think he's under performed from the standards he set last season...

I meant Kinni!
Sorry, I meant Kinni
I say 'anti-Kinni' I mean more that I heard you say something about not being better than Tonkin and you only did it like once... So... yeah.

Not the Barnet or Gillingham game. That was about 8 years ago!
