bollocks! dont care ... ha!ha! ha!ha! ha! ha! ha! maybe i do know more than YOU! in fact i do! stop being so blind! i WILL say what i belive to be right ! never said he wasnt a GOOD manager ...just a bully! Pot, kettle, black springs to mind, considering you are making a very personal attack on CW's character on an internet forum when he has no ability to respond.

Um, you've already been on the bandwagon for some time. Whenever I see you post I look forward to a scathing criticism of wilder. You seem to be saying he's a good manager now... doesn't make sense considering you're claiming to be in the know about such a terrible behind the scenes crisis, but hey, at least you finally said something good about him. When was he arrogant and rude about your team's history? You can say whatever you like, but what you've been saying recently is stupid.
I'll be a fan of oxford for as long as I live or they exist, I seriously hope you're not calling that into question.

Wow, I didn't expect quite such a childish response. Fine, if you know so much more than me and I'm 'blind', tell me your inside source. If it's just speculation, then you've proven my point for me, thank you. Childish his response is Clarkey, sadly the content of the message is also basically correct.

Sorry, but I just find it very, very difficult to believe that there's as much wrong as some people wouold have me believe. Particularly compared to the last 5 or 6 years.

The only thing he's said regarding our history that I know of is that is doesn't matter regarding where we are now - i.e. we can't expect to be in the top tier now because we have been in the past. Damn right. We also spent years in the non-league, do we deserve to be there now?
And Barmy Army, I don't really understand what you mean then. If you mean he's a bully, probably true, but I don't doubt that most successful managers are the same, if not worse than him. If you mean he thinks he's bigger than the club, then I have a serious problem with that, but I imagine it's the first.

Baldy made the mistake of getting in the way of one of the regular outbreaks of hysteria by some of the anoraks on here, who treat every occurence (no matter how mundane) at the club as if it was a disaster. He may be a plasic manc but he called this one right. What he said!! Not sure why a thread about the Communications Officer leaving has turned into a CW Slagging off session??

Because those in the know, have heard exactly what a bully and nasty person Wilder is.
I'd put money on him being behind Chris Williams leaving.
People like Chris do not just leave - he loves the club.

People want to get their facts right before spouting shite on this thread.
Whatever has happened is now history however unfortunately Chris Williams departure was, can we move on, nothing is perfect in this world and as has been said,"the club is bigger than any individual", time to pull together.

So because you are on an internet forum it gives you the right to make a personal attack on the man's character, (not criticising his performance in the job but him personally) when he has no comeback?! You didn't call him ruthless, you called him a bully and that is different. Nothing to do with being holier than thou or whether I like CW or not, just pointing out the obvious similarity between your actions and what you accuse CW of. Of course, Long Live Clarkey, and I stick up for CW then we must love him, and you are a better supporter because you have decided we will be calling for him to be sacked. Congratulations on a fine argument!!

People want to get their facts right before spouting sh ite on this thread. Whatever has happened is now history however unfortunately Chris Williams departure was, can we move on, nothing is perfect in this world and as has been said,"the club is bigger than any individual", time to pull together. Move on from what? We don’t know what went on so what do we move on from? Every corporation learns from its mistakes (and I’m not saying this decision/situation is one) but to restrict debate along the lines of ‘let’s sweep this one under the carpet’ smacks me as not properly communicating with Us. But maybe I’m wrong, and a news item on the official site entitled “Staff Update” was a fab bit of feeding fans information that would endear them to Oxford United... In your defence, Londonroader, then I agree with you that people need to get their facts right before posting. What the club does next regarding replacing Chris (apart from trying to get a game of mega-hyped up football on in a week’s time in Frozen Britain) will be interesting. UE : Jim Smith agrees to take over the position in a caretaker role. The club make their collective mind up about the divisions and importance of media, marketing and customer communications. Kelvin thinks about whether to fill the gap in-house or go through a proper appointment process, but in the end does an Alan Sugar and gives a few people a week each in charge of what Chris did and fires one every Wednesday (with the Boardroom scene exclusively on Yellow Player of course).

What a long thread with many unanswered questions and many animated posters. Yes CWs departure is a blow, no it isn't the end of the club or the end of the world. I think he did an excellent job and I enjoyed much of his match reports and programme input. However, rather than shooting down the rumour-mongers that seem to have the answers to why staff have left, why don't we just wait to see if anything emerges from the club. Afterall CW (manager) may be robust and a bit forceful about his job but this may have no bearing on the staff departures altogether...
