Is the 3rd of december 2010 the day international football finally died in this country? Hope not as i am sure i will watch England when we next play but at the moment cant say i want anything to do with the cesspit of corruption that the world cup has become. Russia was a boot in the balls but to follow it up with Qatar was like doing it again with steel toe caps on. Not really. Today is the 2nd december Thought it might take a day to sink in.

They were just talking about it on Newsnight and the guy who did the report got up from his seat in the stadium and there it was - the Kassam. Would this be the guy who lives locally and wrote the piece on hooliganism after the Aldershot match?

Do you think the old peoples home will let you out? If not I'll feign illness and then escape from the ambulance. I don't suppose it will be as easy for a young offender such as yourself to get day release.

According to The Press Freedom Index, which is an annual ranking of countries compiled and published by Reporters Without Borders, this is how all the bidders rank. 1. Netherlands 11= Japan 14= Belgium 18. Australia 19. UK 20. USA 39. Spain 40. Portugal 42. South Korea 121.Qatar (2022 World Cup hosts) 140.Russia (2018 World Cup hosts) Obivously FIFA have a lot of further corruption which they don't want the general public knowing about, which is why they colluded with governments that are quite partial to bribery, corruption and will happily arrest/imprison/eliminate anyone who says anything which is in danger of exposing the truth. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Press_Freedom_IndexForget Jupiter - North Korea will host 2026 and Burma in 2030.

The thing that struck me about Qatar winning the bidding for the 2022 was it is the first time the system of awarding two world cups in a row was used, thus giving the country who get the later world cup nearly 12 years to prepare for it. The only country who needed that long to prepare for it were Qatar and they duly won it, I remember reading somewhere that FIFA have said they are not going to use the system again. Only thing is they said it before it was annouced who had won which makes me think that the whole thing had been sorted out years ago, making the whole bidding process a farcial waste of money. Either that or one hell of a coincidence!

Being Australian I was obviously more interested in the 2022 result. But I probably would have gone to the cup in England if it was there in 2018, but Russia? Like people have said you would need to travel ridiculous distances in some cases between group matches, and there just isn´t that feeling of safety. Then for Qatar to win 2022? That just proved to me there isn´t even a point in trying to bid for this thing anymore. FIFA went on about hosting a cup in every continent, and Australia would have been the perfect opportunity for that, in fact it is almost a bridge for Asia and Oceania. They have the infastructure built for the most part, and have proven they can host large events. Then they go give it to Qatar who had about 70 people in the stadium for their 2010 qualifiers against Australia (which they lost 4-0 and 3-0 or something). Looking for to Israel & Palestine co-hosting in 2026 anyone?

I still don't know why everyone is so surprised. It is a joke, it is unfair, but we knew it was going to happen so why the anger. For me the anger should be directed at those who made the decision to bid for a tournament we never had a hope of getting wasting £400million in the process.
What's sad is that as well as blowing all that dough, interest in the national team has been terminally f#cked and sepp tw*tter is still only 74 years old. Given that he's rich and swiss I dare say he'll make 90 before snuffing it in post, thus screwing up football for the next sixteen years at least.
Oh, and just to finish on a lighter note, what's to say that the suit they get in to replace him won't be just as much of a c#nt and just as corrupt, Platini for instance...

Surely our secret service could either kill Blatter(my choice) or frame him for something(probably the more liberal among you's choice) to get rid of him? Had he not given it to Russia the same would of happened and at least we would be doing it with some morals on our side. Steal 400 million from my country and i can live with it, might get a two for one on Platini as well!

Apparently some of the Stadiums in Qatar will be dismantled after the 2022 tournament.
So much for "legacy" then!

Even Boris Johnson has got in on the act. "Boris Johnson has withdrawn the offer of a free stay in London's exclusive Dorchester hotel for Fifa executives during the 2012 Olympics." www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-11921692Nice one Boris!

Whereas the stadiums that were build in Africa for the last World Cup mainly ended up being given to the rich white rugby fans.

Is Boris Johnson withdrawing hotel accommodation for FIFA during the 2012 Olympics really going to get them back for the 2018 bid?
