Well are we?
As in any new league it takes some time to adapt. Wilder has now had nearly half a season in L2 to see what it takes to do well
4 wins out of 5. Good results against some of the better teams, Chesterfield, Port Vale, Wycombe, Torquay suggest that we are are. Guess it comes down to consistency and for us to stop leaking goals..
Should be an exciting 2011!

I'd like to think so, but I reckon we'll finish 10th this season.

This league is very open with teams often taking unexpected points off each other. Personally I think it's a lottery as to who will make the playoffs but I reckon we're in with a shout but we need to find consistency if we are to do so. I said at the start ov the season I'd be well happy with midtable and that's still my position.

As long as we stay up and Lootown stay down,eh?
Would love to see York & AFC Wimbledon come up and keep the Hatters to stew for a year or Two and big spending Creepy-Crawley ;D

let's not get our hopes up again here. The last time we got all excited was when we beat port vale and then look what followed.
The win today was good but shouldn't paper over the fact that our defence is shit at the moment.

I said yes at the start of the season and have not changed my view. I'm not saying were great, but theres alot of average teams in this league. If were only 4 points of the play-offs playing as average as we are it would only take a good run of games to move up! Aldershot lost at home to Hereford today so theres 3 points for the taking on saturday.
Be positive and you never know? Even if we got in and didn't win them it wouldn't do any harm.
Up The Yellows!!

but we've just had a good run, have we not? Depends how far back you go. Four wins out of five looks good. But five wins out of thirteen doesn't look half as good! ;D The last two games highlight why it is unlikely we will even reach the play-offs. Crap defensively in both, but creative up front in one and non existent up front in the other. Unless, of course, Wilder has accidentally discovered the best team today! (Though don't expect him to stick to it for the next game! ;D)

We are having a good run but the last few games we have looked very average. Even poor at times. Having said that, who knows? Dagenham were rubbish last season but slipped into the play-off positions right at the end. Then they went on to win them. They are struggling in League 1 now though.
Do we want to sneak up via the play-offs and then come straight back down again?

Last season 72 points was enough to secure a play off spot. If its the same this year we need another 43 points from 24 games or 14 wins from 24 matches. Possible!
There is no reason why we cant carry out\improve on our recent form throughout the rest of the season and repeat a run simillar to that when Wilder first took over.
The next 5 matches are all winnable.
Positivity will get you everywhere! ;D

They aren't down yet plus they had to sell their best goalscorer, I don't think we would.

We are only 4 points off the play-offs positions at the moment with over half the season to go, so obviously promotion is possible. Also relegation is possible too. I would like to see us reach 50 points as soon as we can and then see what happens.
If we get close to the play-offs then it would impossible not to get carried along with the excitement and we would all obviously want to get promoted.
I would like to see performances improve from here though.

This is a big transfer window for us, Wilder must improve the defence - no clean sheets in 18 games now. Other than that I think we might have an outside chance of the playoffs - if the home form improves too!

I think it will be less than 70 pts for last playoff as other teams are similar dropping points they shouldn't.

We're not far off but I don't think we will make it this year, stick with Wilder and we will get there though, stability is key. This season was possibly always going to be about consolidation, but if we can keep hold of key players (should do) then I'd back us for automatic promotion next year. It's just about patience really.
