I think where we are now (mid-table) is a fair reflection on our season so far.
We're very inconsistent, good enough to beat teams in the top 6, but poor enough to lose to a bottom 6 side.
On the whole for the first half of the season we fielded a fairly young side, this I felt has contributed to our inconsistency. I think we looked a better more balanced and harder side to beat with Wotton in the side, hopefully Mclaren will also give us that little bit of experience that is needed on & off the field.
A fit and regularl starting Wright, Mclaren, & Mclean could give a top half finish.

To sneak into the play-offs we simply have to be better than 17 other teams in this league. I don't think we're quite there yet but the last couple of play-off places are going to be quite hotly contended so you never know. I don't know about other teams but I think our subs bench is particularly strong, which may come into play as the season pans out.

Yes we have won 5 of the last 6 games, but befor that we lost 7 out of 8 games. We also have'nt kept a clean sheet for 18 games now. Those sorts of stats suggest that the play-offs are probably just out of reach.

Personally I think we will likely finish 9th or 10th and that would be a satisfactory return to League 2. I would hope that we can push on from that next season.

The defence needs sorting for us to make the play offs, 19 games without a clean sheet now.

We've had a good 5-0-1 run, preceded by a bad 1-0-6 one. The culmination of this inconsistency is an even league record. Difficult to see why we should reach the play-offs.
If current form continues we probably will, if previous form returns we certainly won't. Who can tell?

Good enough potentially for the playoffs and with our previous experience, good enough to win them. But as others have pointed out, it's all about consistency.
