They have only given us 944 tickets, they used to give us half the stand on the side too, but so far just the stand behind the goal. Even though they get bad attendances themselves and we could sell double that.

Initial allocation. We will receive more down the side once they have been sold no doubt. Still, as a ST holder, will make sure I get mine first thing Monday

Yeah initial allocation but Northampton often make the side available to famlies only, we are selling to season ticket holders at one per person whih means if you go with a mate who isn't a season ticket holder, you can't sit together if it's reserved seating, all very odd when you have travelled in the same car together! why don't they just give us the full allocation? we would sell them out where as Northampton wouldn't sell them to their fans anyway. www.oufc.co.uk/page/News/0,,10342~2260526,00.html

It's to create the impression that there isn't enough tickets available and a clamour for them ensues.

Everyone who wants a ticket, will get a ticket, however, the last 2 times we have played at sixfields 2004 & 2005, we have taken our full allocation of 1250, (944 behind the goal, 306 down the side), so, don't dilly dally, get on the phone ASAP to secure another away day win in front of the best supported away fans in the division. . ei, ei, ei o, up the football league we go, when we win promotion, this is what we sing. we are the oxford, we are the oxford. wilder is our king ei, ei, ei o, . The Lincoln Yellows Will Be There......

The Lincoln Yellows Will Be There...... Hi Lincoln. You've posted the view that "everyone who wants a ticket will get one" before. So how does that work? 1,250 tickets only. When they're gone, they're gone. So where does the 1,251st fan who wants a ticket get one from?

YELLOWHOODS! . Our away attendances so far are as follows - In reverse order - . Torquay (A) - 470 Yellows Chesterfied (A) - 350 Yellows Rotherham (A) - 481 Yellows Bradford (A) - 751 Yellows Macclesfield (A) - 400 Yellows (tbc) Cheltenham (A) - 1576 Yellows Hereford (A) - 967 Yellows Crewe Alex (A) - 731 Yellows Wycombe w (A) - 2293 Yellows Burton A (A) - 1700 Yellows (tbc) . Gives an average of 972 Yellows travelling to away games. . However remove the 1st 2 (Burton & Wycombe) being back in the league before the novelty wore off somewhat then we reduce down to around 700 travellers (Still a tremendous effort) . So i stand by my comments (which was also made earlier in the season) that is, if you want a ticket, you will get a ticket. . if you leave it to the last minute, chances are you will be disappointed. . Check the OUFC website for ticket details. Season ticket holders from Monday Members from Tuesday General sale from Wednesday Probably sold out by the weekend . That was my point.......................................

But this is a geographically close match, so the relevant games for comparison are Cheltenham (1,576 Ox fans), Wycombe (2,293) and Burton (1,700). When tickets are released is irrelevant. If more than 1,250 Ox fans want a ticket (very likely given the other close games this season) some will be disappointed.

I would be very surprised if we sell out before Wednesday night, which means if you want one, you have to make the call, or order them before 10.00am come wednesday, if fans are not bothered about going then they can take their chance and leave it till later. . I often panic about getting a ticket for away games with not being a season ticket holder or a member, but guess what, i always get a ticket, even when our allocation has been relativity small. Last season - Wimbledon, Luton, Rushden (twice) Stevenage.... This season - Burton, Cheltenham, Hereford, . Ticket every time - However i am on the phone as soon as they go on general sale, Northamton will be no exception.......... . COME ON YOU YELLOWS 2 - 0 AWAY WIN AT ALDERSHOT TODAY..............

When do they go on GS? Does everyone think we'll have sold out by then? or will people be waiting till GS so they can take friends? When do tickets go on GS on the website? - When the ticket office opens? at midnight? Friend who has never see Oxford NOT win is coming along - for the sake of the 3pts - buy tickets after GS
