Too late for a ticket from OUFC so popped along to Sixfields today, paid £19 for a ticket in the West Stand. They do ask if you've purchased tickets from them before, and when receiving your 'No' answer then register your address onto their computer system....so have an NN postcode and address ready!

Fully anticipate a 3 goal away victory. Get an early goal each half and you'll roll us

But this is a geographically close match, so the relevant games for comparison are Cheltenham (1,576 Ox fans), Wycombe (2,293) and Burton (1,700). When tickets are released is irrelevant. If more than 1,250 Ox fans want a ticket (very likely given the other close games this season) some will be disappointed. Smart a*se.. ;D

Get an early goal each half and you'll roll us We won't fall for that, Chris Wilder will make sure the team treats this match like any other and will expect nothing other than a very tough match. Too many times in the past we have come unstuck against struggling teams so i'd be very disappointed and shocked if we did not show we had learnt our lesson. Likewise the Supporters.

Alright all
Looking foward to the match. Good to be playing Oxford again, had a few decent matches especially at your old ground.
I think a lot of our fans's heads have dropped because we have failed to sign Zola and possibly Harrad but despite that we have a few half decent players that can damage opponents. We dropped out of League 1 a couple of seasons ago and retained some players that are capable of playing at that level.
Liam Davis is our standout player, being a skillfull left back/winger and a good dribbler. In addition to this we have Micheal Jacobs who is perhaps even trickier and we will present a real threat down the left.
Our defence is pretty solid but pedestrian (especially the centre backs) whilst the key to the game rests with who we have up front. Leon McKenzie is a goalscorer but injury prone, we will be better if we can bring anyone in before Sat. We also have a new French right winger called Laurent who is a bit of an unknown quantity.
I'd say you are favourites but wouldn't get too overconfidentr because the fact that we have beaten Brighton, Reading and Liverpool this season shows we can be good and also are much stronger at home.
Who should I watch out for amongst your players. I know of Constable.
P.s Anyone coming to the match and want a few beers i strongly recommend drinking in the town centre and getting a taxi to the ground. DOn't wanna get stuck the overpriced away bars like Franky and Bennies

They key to this match for United might be to make it to half time at least all sqaure. According to the second half League Two form table Oxford are 5th, Northampton 22nd!

How did he pass the medical? You can pass a medical, despite being injured. Downing signed for Villa, when was out injured for 6months. A medical is mainly to see if there is any long term damage.
