As everyone does, I am just sitting at the end of the bed flicking through the 3,051 channels that digital TV now offers. After looking in the mirror I realized that the rather dashing good looking chap, clad only in regulation M&S Y-fronts and socks was actually me I began to wonder…………..
………….were my Wembley Y-fronts the lucky item of clothing that so obviously helped clinch promotion, or was it my socks?
Does anyone remember what colour Y-fronts or socks I was wearing on that most magnificent May evening?
Now this leads on to the greater issue of lucky Y-fronts. Clearly, we only beat York because of my lucky Y-fronts so do I ever dare wear them again?
The point being that if we then lose are the lucky Wembley Y-fronts still lucky or does wearing them again while we lose mean that the luckiness has been totally soiled – if you see what I mean?
Can anyone help me………………………
PS: OldMan I think Bobby is OX1

26 I had worked that out Of similar location - this OF does retain some cognitive ability However - I am from the salubrious `three` district. I hope you weren't refering to OX26 as decrepit or woebegone! ;D

OldMan - I know that it way past your bed time and you are probably busily looking for your lucky knickers for Burton tomorrow, but I said that Bobby was OX1.
Being ex-directory I am not allowed to disclose my OX number.
Safe journey everyone.

I came across a phrase in a Terry Pratchet book last night that I think sums up the spirit of the OFDC. It was "amiable, dynamic stagnation".
What do others think?

Hmmmm... I'd say I agree. But most of whats written is Bovine stool. You seem like an intelligent and observant lad, number 26. Although I must admit, I am not sure what a Bovril stool is Will you be brave and dine with us before the Bristol and/or Bury games? If you are, please let me know and I will list the rules for you (they only run to 21 pages, more if Mr5Co adds in his subsections and amendments). Just in case your printer is not up to it, Rule 1 is, do not pretend that you know anything about football. Rules 2 to 99 concern behavior, dress code, when you can speak and buying the coffee.

Why didn't you say so in the first place. BTW I think you will find that your definition of stool should have an a as its second letter. Don't worry that sort of error makes you acceptable to us OFs.

All.Probably dining in the secret location Tuesday.. I trust OFDC will be well represented? The old farts will indeed be dining at our secret haunt......please be on time at 6pm sharp. Trust vet will wear a clean shirt and account for his lack of posts recently and that Lodie will make some attempt to groom his hair. Oldman will probably regale us of his time in The Royal Box (again) whilst Mr5co will probably explain that he and I have bought the coffee at all home games this season - so it's not our turn. Hope the jolly farmers and Joe will be there too..........there will be others but I cant' remember their names.........

I shall be travelling along the "Road of Enlightenment" ie the A420 on Saturday to collect my charming Daughter Emma and take her to the match (STs in SSU - Row GG). We would rather like to join the OFDC for prematch luncheon but we don't know where or when. I do understand that this information is usually sent out in coded form and a 21st century Enigma machine is needed to distract the information BUT please take pity on a Swindon exile.
Please.................................

Well, it will be at 12noon John - and it will be nice to see Emma again.
With regards to our location John, well we cannot divulge this on here as you rightly know. The only thing I can suggest is that you get one of these long pole-like thingy's (like leaders with schoolchildren) with a flag on the top, saying "yes I will buy the coffee" and then strut around you know where - and I'll send someone out to see if they can find you.
That should do it I think.........

ATTENTION JOHN HEDGES
Please ignore what Top Gun Bob has told you. The OFDC will meet at 1pm not at noon.
Our ex pilot friend gets his time zones mixed up. It is rumoured that he walked into Weatherspoons at 9pm and asked for a full English!!

In between having the straw re-inserted and the colostomy bags emptied on Tuesday, it was suggested that the OFDC sponsor a player again this year.
Any of our loyal readers (that`s you!) interested in contributing?
We last sponsored Fisher a couple of seasons ago...
