.......well, this is a first - are we really really really welcome? - you must be nuts! : good god I'll have a chat with my fellow old farts - you must understand that we are not responsible for our actions and our postings will make you shake your head in disbelief - in fact they will, without doubt lower the tone of this forum. In mitigation on behalf of all fellow old farts, I can only plead insanity. I have to tell you that apart from pre match luncheons on match-days, we now have a weekly breakfast club in the City and also partake of cream tea at the Randolph on occassions - until we get banned that is. Anyone can join providing they are a little eccentric and able to put up with extremely bad table manners, farts, (false teeth catching is allowed too) and etc. Let us know if you change your mind! PS.....KidInThe Riot....we've never been on Rage Online - what is it please?

Why haven't I ever been invited to the breakfast club and the cream teas, then?
If by any chance it's because of my pink phone, I got rid of it a month ago.

Has anybody decided which, if any of the pre season matches the OFDC will convene for?
If so will it be in the previous top secret location known only to members and to Mr Oxy?

The breakfast section of the OFDC met for afternoon tea yesterday. Work that out. Only the 3 senior members were present but it did get a bit chaotic.
A certain gentleman(?), whose name begins with a B, must have thought it was still breakfast time at Weatherspoons. Firstly he asked for a mug of tea. Then he was waving the tea strainer about like some sort of fly whisk. The result was tea everywhere except in the cup. We just stopped him in time from slurping the tea from his saucer. A very patient waiter, who was obviously used to dealing with the elderly, kindly brought a clean cup and saucer and mopped up some of the mess..
The same gentleman(?) then went straight from the sandwiches to the cakes, missing out the scones!!!!!! Really, a senior OFDC member from North Oxford should have known better.
The breakfast section of the OFDC is looking for new members and it could become a breakaway group. Names like the Real OFDC, the Provisional OFDC, and the Peoples Popular OFDC spring to mind. However the reality is, because myself and Jon C (Mr5Cos) are involved, it will probably be called the UNPOPULAR PEOPLES OFDC.

.....well actually oldman, I had tea!......got in a bit of bovver though - it was'nt until I poured the tea (English) into my cup that I realised that this joint did'nt use tea-bags, hence I ended up with tea-leaves in my cup. I tried to discreetly pour the cup of tea back into the tea-pot so I could use the strainer, but the lid area was so small that half of it ended up in the saucer and over the table cloth. At that juncture, both Johntg and Mr5co (where is he?) were endeavouring to pour their 'posh' tea into their cups when 5co ended up with a mountain of tea leaves in the tea-strainer - it was all getting a bit messy then....and of course it got worse when Johntg got his knickers in a twist when I bypassed the second tier of the 'thingy' which displayed the exquisite sandwiches on the top tier (the second tier housed the scons for our cream teas) and went directly to the bottom tier for the fresh cream cakes - this is when I became persona no grata in my colleagues eyes - apparently one has to start at the top and work ones way down.....cant' remember what happened then - except that Mr5Co, being the stout chap that he is, paid the bill - about 60quid for the three of us I think!....such joy I might add.
I had my breakfast at Weatherspoons the next day - 2.49p plus 99p for a delightful cup of coffee. I know my place!

What's wrong with the Kas Stad coffee for Christs sake?
It's lovely and velvety and has a strong, rich, nutty taste.
I quite like it. Your taste buds are f@cked Bob!

I read in the local paper (you know the one I mean), about a group of old farts who used their bus passes to go on 'magical mystery tours' of Oxford.
They meet up at a pre-agreed bus stop, get on the first bus that comes along, flash their passes, and then get off after a pre-agreed number of stops. They then explore the local pub/s (could be eating places) in that area. Is this something the OFDC might consider?

What a good idea yellowj........but we dont like going to strange places - in case we cant' find our way home.....sometimes you know, after a match, many of us are so confused that we are often seen wandering around Oxford in a daze not knowing where the hell we are......but the kind people often put us up at the night shelter and give us a good breakfast - before being thrown out.........
