Playing for a draw for 40 minutes. How pathetic.
I really hope we don't come up against many more sides like them this season.

Are you sure CB?
I heard they were a lot better than us for most of the game.

I was there and I thought we were the better team for much of the game, especially the second half when we had the ball for long periods and put them under some pressure.
Agree with CB though, they were definitely time wasting, but both teams seemed content with a draw with about 20 mins to go. We looked pretty knackered up front aswell!

It was n even game, but they weren't exactly busting a gut to get all 3 points.

I expect most teams in this league will happily hold out for a point. Expect 90 minutes of 11 men behind the ball from every team visiting the Kassam Stadium boys.

The terrace was so packed that those arriving just before kick off had no choice but to block access aisles. This meant those arriving after kick-off couldn't get onto the terrace at all. Rather than put them in the spare seats, stewards brought them along the pitch side and forced them into the front of an already over-packed terrace!

Burton have got a tidy little ground. It is good to see a club operating within its means and investing in its stadium sensibly and modestly. I was impressed with it all.

The most laughable bit was with about 10 minutes to go the ball went wide of their goal and ended up between the net and the advertising boards. Their goalie then spent about 30 seconds pretending he did not know where the ball was. And another time when he spent 1/2 a minute with the ball before kicking it upfield. They were actually content with a point - i see this as a big positive. They are a decent side and were quite happy to draw with us at home. I reckon we are perceived as a top team in the league now. We do need to find some goals from somewhere though. We look alright until the ball goes in the box - then we don't know what to do.

When you went forward you actually looked quite good. So why didn't you go for the win? Why spend so much time over every free kick and throw in? It's not a question of sour grapes. We saw your tactics with our own eyes. (Why would it be "sour grapes" anyway?

Knowing Wilder our players were nothing if not fit!!!!! Yes - they looked in good physical shape today. Fitness should count towards at least an extra 7 points this season.

We often get bitter atfer a draw away from home. Just seems odd opening day against a team thats come from a division below to play for a draw. Especially at home.
