Knowing Wilder our players were nothing if not fit!!!!! Yes - they looked in good physical shape today.Fitness should count towards at least an extra 7 points this season. They did? I though four or five of them looked pretty fagged out by the end. |

Lone, I know the game was very open in the second half but I agree some looked knackered towards the end. I am a little surprised with this maybe they need another couple of games. I feel they were there for the taking but happy to settle for a point only time will tell if this is a half decent result. |

Dear me Bob those grapes are still sour. When you went forward you actually looked quite good. So why didn't you go for the win? Why spend so much time over every free kick and throw in? It's not a question of sour grapes. We saw your tactics with our own eyes. (Why would it be "sour grapes" anyway? The sour grapes is aimed at concrete bob for his consistant sniping at us the year we won the league. It was difficult to score when you put ten men behind the ball all the time, I think you call it parking the bus. |

A good set up no doubt, and no sign of the idiots that came running on the pitch at the end of our game in 2009. Brewmeister - even your manager was delighted with a point!....There was an element of "parking the bus" from both sides - but if I was a Burton Fan I would be left wondering about the reasons for that from my team at HOME Put it this way - when you come to Oxford, we will go for the jugular because Wilder, the Fans and the players will demand that. |

A draw was a satisfactory result away to Burton.

Of course players are going to be tired, it's only our first real competitive game of the season. Pre-season games are good but I don't expect any player to be fully 100% until 3-4 games in to the season, hence why a few looked leggy on both sides yesterday.

Don't under-estimate the effect the heat out on the pitch had either, there were times during the game when the sun was really hot, a number of players on both sides were commenting about it after the game. For those of us old enough to remember there was a time when the season didn't start unitl the end of August for that very reason. |

Good result for first game of the season, thought they shaded the first half but we were close to dominating most of the second. Heslop looked a great signing and Worley looks promising, not sure about Hall although its only one game.
