Home: Arsenal 1985/86. May 5th. Beat them 3-0 to stay up. Houghton, Aldridge and Hamilton. We paraded the Milk Cup after the game. Could not get a ticket in the home end so had to go in with the Arsenal fans. Remember being asked by a Cockney at half time "do you have a light lad?" I was only 9! I was hooked from then on. What a game! Glory days.............................. ...............long time ago now........ www.oxfordmail.co.uk/sport/oxfordunited/clubhistory/famousmatches/

That Arsenal game was all about Billy Hamilton. He scored the third goal and did a jig in front of the London Roaders to celebrate. Those were the days!

Rotherham at home in about 1993 or 94 and I'm f**ked if I can remember the score. I wanna say it was 1-1 for some reason but could be completely wrong.

I was too young to remember my first game back in 1956 aged 18 months so I will go for the first game I took my son to. It was our first season at the Kassam and it was OUFC against Torquay, final result 2 - 2. As I recall it was quite some time before my son saw Oxford win but he saw plenty of draws and no losses. He was hooked as is now his older sister. I now take my grand daughter and grandson (15 months and 7 weeks respectively) as well, you have to start them young, it is only right !! ;D ;D ;D The wife is also now a steward. It's a family thing. The eldest daughter also attends so there are now 7 of us each home game and some of the away ones as well.

Yes, Gus Caesar was outstanding for us that day!
Yes but he got his revenge a few years later,he was in the marlow team that knocked us out of the F.A. cup!
First game at the Manor, Burnley 1972 First away game, Burnley 1972 What a coincedence, not really,Burnley born and bred, dad was a fanatic and i went to every Burnley home game and every saturday away game in that promotion season. I actually visited the skip 3 years before i went to the Manor,Burnley played them in the league cup semi-final in 69 and actually beat the scum, then went and lost the home game, before losing the play off. So i have actually hated Swinetown longer than i have followed Oxford!

Boogaloo - My first game was also the very said game at home to Wrexham in 1983 (2 - 0 - Vinter and Whatmore with the goals), my 1st away game is somewhat patchy, i think it was Sheffield Utd away in 1984 in division 2 (as it was back then) a 1 - 1 draw on a cold South Yorkshire day) . COME ON YOU YELLOWS

Mentioned above Huddersfield 82-83 1-1 draw. Foley's last game I think so maybe that was the confusion between him dna Gary Barnett,
Away either 2-1 win at Brentford 83-84 or Cup game at Goodison 1-4, can't remember which

Oxford 4 - 2 Luton Town. Aldridge Hatrick, I missed the third... Thanks Dad - still at least we missed the traffic.... Pompey away, probably a 2-1 defeat, they normally were...
