Not going to Oxford City. Still can't get over how poor the standard of football was for their New Year's Day game against Bashley. Then we have that mug Padz coming on the old TiU saying there isn't that much difference between City and United.

Looking forward to the game as always.
It's a good experience for our lads to test themselves against superior opposition, we've been playing well in pre-season.
I don't expect us to repeat last years win but I can't see it being a didcot-esq drubbing

The whole squad will get 45 minutes . . . . wonder if that will be the first half or second half?
Do you think Junior will be going? ;D

Better off going to the Youth Benefit game on Saturday and giving your money to OUFC.

Hope your players don't hospitalise our stars again Padz, this is your last chance.... behave yourself, a one off foul between two players with history dating back, nobody was 'hosptalised' The two clubs have an excellent relationship dating back many years and will continue to do so. Maybe it's your 'last chance' to get over one flashpoint in one fixture between the clubs

Just not sure we should be playing this game as our last before the season starts. We normally play them as one of our first friendly games.

Scheduling is a bit different, I imagine because you have the reserves groundsharing agreement at Didcot that they got you as the first friendly

Usually a case of jealousy by the "also rans", not good enough to play for Oxford United. It's only natural they'll go for some retribution. Would rather we played someone else too.

Don't understand this. If Wilder gets what he wants out of the game and we don't pick up any injuries I will be happy.

Quite pathetic some of the grudges held by some for one bad tackle in umpteen preseason fixtures between the 2 sides. As for Beano being 'hospitalised'! funny cuz i'm sure he continued playing!! I see TIU over-reaction has spread to the new board

Sorry chaps, but what a load of negative twaddle some of you are spouting. Oxford City are a great club where you can always be assured of a friendly welcome.....and whats more they do more for the community than a lot of people realise........ The nonsense talked about one tackle - jesus christ my friends, get over it - its not the end of the world. I shall be at City toinight and if anyone wants to but me a coffee I'll forgive them for such stupid comments......... ;D

You're getting confused between a friendly welcome and 'no welcome'. THey have nobody there so it's just soulless. I've been numerous times and never have I been welcomed or generally felt it was any better than any other club we play. Id prefer us to reward another local team a bit more and spread the wealth. The time of Oxford City is over.
