I do agree with Otto re the welcome. Nothing against City but they're no more welcoming than anyone else.

What do people want?? a red bleedin carpet and free beer?? kids are free so i reckon its well worth going as i do every year, bit worried about injuries, but then again apart from one really stupid tackle it is usually played in good spirit without it being just a kick around.

No one's mentioned expecting special treatment. The point being made is that some people make a point of saying there's always a nice welcome at City. Why say that? It's the same as any other ground in my opinion.

Always worth a jaunt to the local Southern League sides. Important that the clubs have good relations. I encourage all supporters to attend whenever they can’t make an Oxford match. The preseason schedule has been spot on IMO. Only fixture missing is a youth XI playing in the west of the county. PS: official site is spreading misinformation - Gunn has signed for Didcot. www.oufc.co.uk/page/PreMatchAnalysis/0,,10342~2105744,00.html

The incident between Constable and Baird was to do with a something that happened when Beano was at Chippenham and playing against Baird.
Thankfully Baird is no longer at City, so we can push that under the carpet and carry on playing the local sides, which I feel are more meaningful than friendlies against Man United.

Better off going to the Youth Benefit game on Saturday and giving your money to OUFC. Agreed

You're obviously still hurt by the sound beating in the Oxfordshire Senior Cup. Hope your players don't hospitalise our stars again Padz, this is your last chance.... behave yourself, a one off foul between two players with history dating back, nobody was 'hosptalised' The two clubs have an excellent relationship dating back many years and will continue to do so. Maybe it's your 'last chance' to get over one flashpoint in one fixture between the clubs
