Taught the non-believers another footballing lesson today
Is that nine lessons in 18 league outings now?
Amazing there are people out there who can't spot class when they see it

What 1 goal in every 2games played i cant see even the world class players have much more of a better scoring ratio to me that equals 20-25 goals per seaon brilliant.

Top scorer at Oxford United should be good enough. Unfortunately some people like to have a scapegoat and Craddock seems to be it.

Some people would still prefer the non-league option that is Jack Midson...fluffed the best chance of the game.

Both Tom and Jack are cracking players.

Both 'scapegoats' played brilliantly!
I heard the moaner next to me speak ONCE through the WHOLE match (normally he has plenty to say/moan about) and it was when Midson was in the centre and the ball was so far over his head he would never reach it. But old moanface next to me managed to yell "RUN MIDSON!" in some sort of daft attempt at moaning.
On the Craddock situation - he is class.
Which 3 play v Northampton?

I can't believe people think midson is a moaning target? he get so much praise just because he clapped a lot when he was sub. Yes hes a decent ish striker but Craddock (who is the real scapegoat, i dont know why) is quality, and at the moment far more of a goal machine despite jacks flash in the pan hat trick.

Thought Midson had a better game than Craddock TBH. Craddock still lacks that battling quality, doesn't like to get stuck in.

Agree with this but he does score goals almost like a Lineker type player (although Craddock scores from outside the box). However poor he looks you know at some point there is a good chance he will score.

Maybe im old fashioned but strikers are there to score. In my team I am a pretty lazy striker in that i dont battle back much but i dont hear complaints with 10 goals in 4 games so far.
I guess it depends what you see strikers as, but why do we love beano? because....he banged in 50+ goals in 2 seasons for us. If he scored 10 a season would we love him? maybe, but not half as much.
I would love for midson to prove me wrong but i dont think he has 20 goals a season in him in league 2 like craddock and beano do.

My only problem with craddock is if he's got a 60% chance of getting to the ball first he'll still bottle it! So any 50/50's you've got no chance. I don't doubt he's abetter goalscorer, he's just frustrating!

He's doing well, he's a finisher.

I am not anti-Midson in anyway at all. I have just seen him leave the pitch twice in two games to be replaced by (IMO) a far more effective player (Beano) and have then watched the 'frustrating' Craddock bag the winner on both occasions.
I think Midson is a good player but not quite good enough. Despite the hat-trick at Torquay I struggle to understand some of the hype he gets. There is no doubt he helped us get out of the conference but is he going to help us get out of div 4? No, we need Beano, MacLean and Craddock for that.
Personally I think Craddock is growing into the role he has and therefore the team.

Craddock is class but he spends too much time covering Tonkin's backside.
Today it was actually hard to tell him and MacLean apart. That must be Tom's best game in an OUFC shirt.

Craddock has come on leaps and bounds since Maclean arrived because both of them operate on a different level to Beano, Midson & Green.
Craddock has looked poor when he plays a blind pass in to space and no one gets on the end of it.
With Maclean in there we have a player that is used to playing like that and can see the passes and movement happening. Its really bringing Craddock on.
Im trying not to get in to the Midson debate but if I had the option between Craddock, Maclean & Beano or Craddock, Maclean & Midson I am going with Beano 9 times out of 10. I know hes seen as someone who trys hard etc. etc. but you dont win things by just trying hard. You have to produce. Over the moon for his when he got his hat trick but today we looked soooooo much more dangerous with Beano on the pitch than we did Midson. Im not anti Midson in the slightest and I would happily keep him at the club, just so long as it isnt stopping us getting better players in, but he just doesnt produce often enough, or contribute as much to the game as Maclean, to start regularly im afraid. He definitely shouldnt be keeping Beano out of the team.
