5 pages for a home pre-season friendly is pretty good. I'm starting to think that this is our new home. I wasn't able to participate in the match thread live, but for those of you who did, how did it compare to the old ones on the other site?

Couldn't stay up for this one but looks like a good result. 2 weeks until the new season and I can't wait already.

For a pre-season match I really enjoyed it. I thought that the most significant things were.. Heslop - can really pass a ball. Sitting just in front of the defence gave us a great outlet. Green and Cole gave us a bit more width and we looked far more dangerous with them playing. We were far too narrow in midfield in the first half, leaving Tonks and Batt to deal with two players each, which made it easy for Leicester to get in down the sides. Leicester showed some good touches, and their movement off the ball was super - they gave us a footballing leson for about 20 minutes of the first half... ... which we learned and then went on to be the better team for much of the second half. We played the ball on the floor, which was both nice to see and also very effective. Very encouraging, I thought!

I was literary one row behind you. ;D I choose to forget the first half as Leicester were streets ahead and in control with possession, etc. But this match was a footballing cliche of a game with two halves. We made a lot more chances and looked far more dangerous against better opposition in the second half. And Green and Cole were great impact substitution with their excelling pace. Heslop (I think) squared the ball along the face of the goal to find Constable who tuck the ball back into the net nicely. Overall good game; work out for the players. Trying to not get carried away but was a decent performance. I agree with ZeroTheHero, very encouraging indeed. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE SEASON TO BEGIN!
