Yes. Happy with that result. A good tester for us and we came out well in the end.

I've just got back from the game. We played really well. Their goal was against the run of play and came from a questionable free kick.
I thought the first half Beano looked like he was playing up front on his own, Sam and Alfie were playing too deep. Heslop was my man of the match, involved in everything in the midfield, played the simple pass to great effect.
In the second half when we brought Matt Green and Mitchell Cole on as the front 3 we looked much more effective up front. Cole is really quick.
I really enjoyed the game and if we can keep playing like that we have little to fear in this division.
The only thing that dampened the day was all the American kids sat next to me, they weren't interested in the game. I asked them why they'd bothered to come as they were clearly not watching. Thankfully they moved second half.

To use a well worn cliche, it was a game of two halves.
The first half we played a 4-3-3 system where the midfield and front three all played far too narrow. As a consequence the Leicester wide men were given acres of space to work in. Thankfully the defence worked damned hard to keep them out and succeeded rather well (apart from the free kick, which was a good one). Probably the best midfield player was Bulman as neither heslop or Hall seemed to be at the races)
The second half saw the introduction of Matt green and Cole who both played wide and gave the whole side a far better balance. Green in particular worked well with Batt down the right. The whole side also became far more competitive (much to the disgust of the leicester crowd ;D) and things looked a lot better. Hall and heslop seemed to wake up as well and played a lot better.
All-in-all a good game in which the scoreline wasn't misplaced.

Did we have new goal nets or still the Sunday league ones?

I thought we had a very good second half. Batt & Green worked very well down the right hand side. I know i've only seen them once, but i was very impressed with the new signings, they had good games, Heslop stood out for me.
Just one thing. Did anyone else notice Mitchell Cole's reaction when Beano scored? All the other players joined in celebrating with Constable but Cole just walked off in the opposide direction. Anything to worry about? Or am i just being paranoid? (as usual ;D)

Maybe they'd had words?

I wasn't able to participate in the match thread live, but for those of you who did, how did it compare to the old ones on the other site?
