Probally not as he's far too modest, but once we're finally rid of the landlord from hell -I think there should be some sort of recognition for the incredible work and transformation on and off the pitch of Oxford United FC since KT took over the reigns.
As i contributor to the 12th man fund i propose a future collection to go towards a plaque or such like in the Stadium.
UTM.

In the first line i stated that KT is 'far too modest' yet you ignored that to try and suggest the opposite. I don't see why the Chairman shouldn't get some recognition, imho he's saved the Club and transformed it. Goodness me.

I must admit that I'd prefer the stadium to be named after something other than a person (or a brand).
Although renaming the blandy named stands after people who are important in the club's history might be a nice idea.

He can have the honour of having the new KT Terrace named after him if he gets that built!

Why KT why not IL, as after all it was him who appointed KT.
No I think we have had our fill of a stadium named after a person. Lets have one named for the club (if or when we have one at all).

I seem to remember in the sixties when a new stadium was being planned, there was talk of calling it the Arthur Turner stadium. At least this would be better than the name of the present place, but I suppose that by now, 40 odd years hence a lot of supporters wouldnt know who Arthur Turner was, and what he did for the club in those early days. So for me recognise the work of KT by name a stand, or facility area after him.

Maybe a turnstile could be named after him. Then it would be the KT Turnstile. OK ok, I apologise.

Maybe after a duration of 10 years, a long way to go to start naming stands after him. Lets see if he hangs around if the club changes hands.

Id like the East Stand to renamed the Manor Stand Surely the West Stand terrace has to be called the London Road Stand. In fact the road in front of the Cinema has to be renamed.

Some one with simlilar humour to mine Leaving aside the levity on the subject of KT, there is an interesting low-lying debate to be had about what our stadium should be called. My (conservative) preference has always been to call a stadium what it actually is! That is what has given us some of the great names in UK football. White Hart Lane; Stamford Bridge; Gay Meadow; Loftus Road; the Manor!; Gigg Lane; Deepdale; Valley Parade etc. Our ground is, factually, Minchery Farm. A great, memorable, distinctive name for a stadium. Just call it that. The stands, I always think it's good to memorialise your greats. Ours would/ should be the Arthur Turner Stand after our effective 'creator' as a professional club, the Ron Atkinson stand, after our most-'capped' player, the Jim Smith stand, after our best manager, and the John Aldridge stand, after probably our only indisputably world-class player. One can always make a few, and it IS a few, quid at sub-Premiership level by having sponsorship, but to my mind it cheapens a club and makes it less attractive to players, managers, fans et al. Despite what Wilder claims, we do have a proud history. But we also have a bland, out-of-town stadium. Once we own it, we need to imbue that stadium with as much of our history as possible. Remind everyone who comes to sign for us, play for us, watch us, or sponsor us, that they are encountering a proper club, not an MK Dons-style outfit.

I see our club as still being real and not plastic, i see our fans as being the real football fans from around this area..
So for me a good name would be "The Peoples Stadium"
