I really like Minchery Farm....wasn't it around about 500,000 that we needed to buy out the stadium?

I also like Minchery Farm as a name (for personal reasons) but on another thread somebody suggested The Isis Stadium. This sounds even better to me. Associated with Oxford by people all over the world. Run it over the tongue a few times, it tastes good.

Probally not as he's far too modest, but once we're finally rid of the landlord from hell -I think there should be some sort of recognition for the incredible work and transformation on and off the pitch of Oxford United FC since KT took over the reigns. Why is he dead? Personally I'd like the stadium to be associated with the oxford martyrs, it has a 'won't be drub' air about it.

It's not difficult. Name the stands after the roads. Particularly the East Stand. :-)

The Stadium should definitely be named after its location, so either Minchery Farm or Grenoble Road for me. Same for the stand, as they were at the Manor, name them after whatever happens to be (vaguely) behind them. For example, when the new stand is built it should be called The Priory End or something like that.

Do we want to just fit into the crowd or do we want to stand out? Of the names suggested so far the ISIS stadium has Oxford connotations is short, snappy and will make people think when they hear the name. No point worrying about it because it will be some time before it happens.

I have long been in favour of this, not so keen on Minchery farm though - We don't want to be another Tractor boys outfit! I like the sound of [shadow=red,left,300]Sandford Park [/shadow]- Would we get the tag 'The gas' though, dam -been done already!

So Nuts. well, lets not get too melodramatic, my point is things are normally named after folk when they are dead or about to die (the vainness of kassam aside). It's a bit like getting a lifetime achievement award, that's basically your peers telling you you're about to kick the bucket. Kelvins done a decent job to organise the club as a club but to start name stadiums after him? ...please
