3 years is a long time. Let's hope he stays good.

seems like a pretty good signing for us even if 3 years seems a tad excessive. should push the beast hard for a first XI spot

Sounds like a decent signing from the reports of the pre-season games so far. As for a 3-year-deal, it also protects the club if he manages to become an excellent player and is touted by clubs further up the football pyramid.

Obviously has impressed. Let's see how he goes. Any rumours on Rhys Day leaving?

I confess to being rather nervous about a 3 year contract for someone who hasn't settled anywhere and who has had some pretty negative reports from Crewe fans

Sounds like a back up to the Beast or maybe someone who can run him close for a starting place. Wouldn't surprise me to see us sign Franks as a similar squad player for Wright.
Good work CW

First post - this is more like it! CW obviously made his mind up pretty quickly about Worley. Will be interesting to see if/where Franks and Day fit into the equation now. Franks hadn't done much wrong from all accounts.

Good afternoon or evening chaps. I hope CW has got it right after seeing this lad play in two friendlies against moderate opposition. I would have thought that he might have seen how he get's on against Leicester City before making the offer. Still that's why CW is a football manager and I'm not!

What worries me is he's not played a lot of football over the last 5 years - just 2 appearances for Leicester. So 3 years is a bit of a gamble, but we'll see.

I hope that CW doesn't make a decision on the back of just one performance! I'm sure he knew a bit about Worley, and the trial was just to confirm this - and give both parties the opportunity to learn a bit more about one another before committing.

Let's hope he warrants the three years, could always turn out to be a masterstroke by CW

I'll wait until I see him play and form my own judgement rather than listen to a bunch of disgruntled fans.
