Afternoon All!
I'm reliably informed that this is the place to be following the ugly demise of Tiu!
Anyway, I'm equally pleased and surprised at this news. Mr Worley is probably a reasonably strong prospect for the future and will improve under Andy Melville's expert guidance no doubt.....
BUT it did sound to me that Leigh Franks was the more cultured of the two CBs on trial and barely put a foot wrong. I would probably be willing to gamble if I were Wilder, and offload the experienced Day in favour of taking on Franks too.
We'll see what transpires with Franks over the next few days.

As the first signing in the new Yellows Forum era, perhaps we should sponsor him?

Congratulations...this forum is now where the gossip and half-heard bits on Jack FM appear. Oxford Mail, eat your heart out. You just lost your audience.

If the club want players to commit and move close to Oxford then the club needs to commit to them with long term deals.

No news on the Official Site yet so pinch of salt required?
Worley may have accepted lower terms but has got an extra year?
Just a thought. I read recently that Crewe boss Dario Gradi was quoted as saying that defender Worley was not an expensive player after taking him on loan from Leicester.
Can't see Rhys being around for too much longer. He struggled with Aldershot in League Two in 2008/2009.

Well, I dont' bloody well know......we sign this one and then another and another - how the hell are we old farts going to know who is who - jesus, with the new kit, we'll probably think we are the apponents. I think this Wilder chappie has a lot to answer for - wish he would do something useful for a change and sort out the diabolical muck they serve up at the stadium proporting to be coffee....no one cares about this though.
....and now juniors on here - you owe me a coffee young man!

If at any point during the season CW decides to play three at the back then Wright, Beast and Worley are a pretty formidable trio to have.
I think Day will struggle to get many games but at least we have the reserve team now, so him and others in the same boat can now stay match fit.

I generally do not really agree with the notion that L2 players will get us out of this league. Good players will see to that.
I do however think some wise heads are invaluable and if we do ship out Day and bring in these two lads we will have 4 centre-back of whom I don't think any are over the age of 25. In such a crucial and cultured position that seems a touch risky, without trying to sound too Alan Hansen...

JACK fm have strong links with the club so I do place some credence on this rumour. Jack don't get many things wrong with United , news wise.
