So many memories to choose from. What an amazing place. I will never forget the banter in the London Road. What memories do you have of our spiritual home?

So many !!
Never a Quarrel bet with CORAL on the old scoreboard.
The git who lived in Osler Road who lit a bonfire around 4pm every saturday afternoon
Drinking in the old Supporters Club before games
Standing in pools of p!ss on the London Road terrace, at the back.
Sheffield Wednesday fans entering the London Road End circa 1979
The London Road end being divided between home and away fans
The old Polish fella 'Frankie' selling lottery tickets pre-match in his black and old gold regalia
The old club shop where a bloke with broken specs often sold me old programmes.
Being in the London Road terrace with Robert Maxwell stood ten feet away against Portsmouth around 1982 as violence broke out all around
Kevin Francis wearing his baseball cap on the London Road terrace
Burtie's shorts and the bit of elastic holding them up.
Parking up and getting into the ground at ten to three every home game in the late 70's
Dozens of missed penalties from either Foley, Curran or Fogg. We missed around 18/30 at one point
Scores of hooligans chasing each other down Headington hill on a regular basis

Leeds United smashing up the cuckoo lane.
Drawing 5-5 with pompey on a blustery night.
Sebastian Coe being searched by the police for a weapon on the beech Road turnstile. ;D
Dave Langan running down the wing with his spindley little legs going like the clappers
Chicken George stepping on the ball, then beating 3 players, then stepping on the ball again. ;D
Always going for a bet under the london road before kickoff, but never winning a penny.
Those people in the houses, watching the game from over the osler road fence.

The smell of rotten guts in the middle of London Road - I think it was the same bloke FFS who had been on the razz all weekend. It was a mixture of Burgers, Beer and Gastro - intriutus.
The celebrations in London Rd when we scored - half elated half petrified that I was going to die in there!
The atmosphere at the night games in the Cup vs the Prem teams.
Joey Beauchamp taking the pi.ss out of some of the best full backs in the country.
Moody's rather lazy body language, but then scoring a cracker!
David Rush grabbing the corner flag
John Durnin with his plaster cast on scoring 4 vs Luton!

Standing next to a girl underessing just before she streaked on the pitch

All of the above have rekindled great memories, thanks everyone. The atmosphere at the night cup games was electric; the play-off game against Rushden got near but not quite there, however if things turn out as promising as they appear to be at the moment I don't think we will have to wait too much longer !!

Those night games were incredible. My absolute favourite was v Everton in 1986. Les Phillips scored the winner with only a few minutes to go. That whole game made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

It's very topical you should mention that since it happened against today's opponents Leicester in the FA Cup. I think a cople of them tried it and the police were thinking to go after them, then decided to wait for them to get bored and come down. We won 2-0.

There are so many fantastic memories of the manor.
The league cup semi-final 2nd leg against Villa
Cup game against Arsenal, Dave Langan scoring against Jennings ;D
Beating Manure 2-0 in Alex Ferguson's 1st Game in charge of them.
Too many other games to mention

The smell of the changing rooms round the back of the Beech Road stand, and the smell of cigars still takes me back to the Manor even now. Certain cheesy pop songs from the 90s always remind me of the Manor, being played of the tinny speakers! Panda Pops also remind me of the Manor, they used to sell them at half time.

Pre - segregation.
Watching the first half from Cuckoo Lane (we usually played up hill first half), wandering throught the Osler Road stand at half time and watching the second half from the London Road end.

Those night games were incredible. My absolute favourite was v Everton in 1986. Les Phillips scored the winner with only a few minutes to go. That whole game made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Big Billy Hamilton laid the ball off and Phillips finished low and hard into the bottom left hand corner of Neville Southall's net with minutes remaining. The roof almost came off the LRE. The atmosphere was electric and it was an exhillarating match.Oxford played ever so well and probably deserved the win overall but we defended well most of the night. I'll always remember Gary Lineker being thwarted by Alan Judge on three occasions in the second half as the game swung from end to end. Our victory over Everton meant Liverpool effectively won the league that night. A couple of weeks later we beat Arsenal 3-0 in a must win game to preserve our top flight status. We were again terrific that night with Ray Houghton giving a masterclass in midfield.
