Like the MX5 especially in red and did see one recently registered MX05RED in red, very nice. One of my pupils I am teaching to drive is used to being chauffered in his dad's Merc 500S only two in the country with the additional kit costing £100K highly desirable. Used to have an Escort GT Mk 1 not too unlike the Mexico and enormous fun to drive

Original Mini (any year although I'd love a fully restored mk1). So much fun to drive, cheap to insure, easy to fix and because you're only 2 inches off the ground it feels like you are hammering it, even when you're not!

Sorry people there is only one vehicle for me..................Vauxhall Vivaro 1.9 turbo diesel sportive. Carries three, plenty of space in the boot, easy on the diesel, cheap to insure and a lady killer to boot.

My favourite car of yester-year was the Austin 1800 (pre Austin Princess). It had bags of room in the back for a bit of hanky-panky.

RS 2000 was a great car in Mark Two format. I had a drive of my dad's one a long time ago. Had bucket seats, long clutch, and short shift gearstick, Looked great in red too.
Had two mark three Cortinas, dad had a 2000GT. The earlier ones were best since they had overhead valve rather than OHC and were thus far more reliable. OHCs used to suffer from camshaft failures, which could be overcome by using thin oil and changing it every 6000 miles
Liked my Mk 3 Golf GTI too and the VW Scirroco mark 1
