Berbatov is a fantastically gifted player, probably the best in the premiership at bringing a long ball under complete control and he gets 15 goals a season (ok maybe he should get more) He gets slated by non United supporters who probably dont watch his performances as closely as someone folllowing the team. People rave about the likes Van-Persie but Berbatov is the better player for me. How many World Cup finals has Berbatov played in?

Whats your point ?

I'm just responding to the absurd suggestion that Berbaflop is better than van Persie.
I nearly choked on my coffee

Why is it an absurd suggestion?
and for the record:
Berbatov 38 Premiership goals since 2006 Van-Persie 48 Premiership goals since 2004
that'll be 2 more years RVP has been around, yet only scored 10 goals more than so called 'Berbaflop'

"You don't rush to congratulate a player unless you have tremendous faith in what he can bring to the team. "
What an odd and nonsensical thing to say!
Sorry if that's OT but I couldn't give two fucks about Bebatov.

Compare that with Berbatoss who was a big star at Spurs, and cost a whopping £30 million transfer fee, then ask yourself which of these two has most justified their transfer fee. Even Baldy must surely admit that Van Persie was a bargain compared to Berbatoss. For £30 million I'd expect someone in the vein of Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Eric Cantona or Didier Drogba - not someone in the vein of Marlon King! ;D

No mate, I hate to inform you but you are the clueless one. Padz was quoting facts. As for you, well, its just guesswork and nonsense. Or are you about to take on what is black and white in the history books ?

Some more 'facts'
Berbatov 38 Premiership goals since 2006 or Total 48 goals in 134 appearances for Spurs and Man Utd £10million to Spurs then £30million to Man Utd
Van-Persie 48 Premiership goals since 2004 or 48 goals in 131 appearances for Arsenal £2.75million
I would say that RVP was better value and also likely to score more goals in the next 5 years.

Two players jogged over and the rest wandered over when they felt like it to waste a bit of time! The bollox spouted by pro Man U and pro Arsenal fans on this area of the forum will make me smile for many years to come. ;D

He scores at a rate of 1 in every 3 games so if he plays 45 games he should make 15.

so, its 1 down 14 to go... 15 for the whole season - Prem League, FA Cup, League Cup, Champs League - For 30 million so he bloody well should. Even so Fabregas, Lampard and Gerrard (all midfielders) will all score more than someone who is supposed to score goals.
