Read about this a couple of weeks ago, seems a decent candidate with the right intentions. He set up a charity for Haiti before the disaster too, so its not as though he's jumping on the bandwagon or looking to publicise himself. He is deeply connected to the country having been born there.
However, there was some stuff about some dodgy goings on with some of his charity monies (paying himself to perform at a benefit gig was one of the allegations) but it could have been fabricated and he is keen to clear up any confusion on that front - he's probably legitimate.
Could be the catalyst for a decent regen job using his connections and profile, given the right support.
