I've often wondered where all our different songs and chants come from.
For instance, on the Cuddy thread
where does this originate from? What is the tune, is it borrowed and adapted from another club?
Others are more obvious:-
na na na na na na Oxford = Hey Jude
A few Johnny Cash songs too:-
Ring of Fire, Your are my Sunshine etc
Tom Hark is used for a few too. I believe "Yellow and Blue, Down The Line" was dreamt up in a minibus on the way to Morecambe a few years ago.
The Johnny Wilkinson chant I first heard song by the opposition at AFC Sudbury and it has stuck ever since.
7 Nation Army was I think from the goal celebrations at Euro 2008?
"We will follow" is either an old Petula Clark song, from Sister Act, or a European football chant, depending on your age.
