Definetely a point gained yesterday - and a clean sheet. Now we are in the league, I feel really pleased with a point away from home. My expectations are a little lower + I do feel we will do well at home as well. This bodes well for the season ahead. Plus - Peschisolido's comments surprised me a little. They were genuinely delighted with a draw against us!!!!

And I think that it showed that they at times were playing for a draw. That is the reason I am slightly disappointed with only a point. We definitely had more possession but did not really create any solid chances. All though a hand full of half chances. Still a point away from home as you said not bad.

Didn't really think the players thought they could win it. It was a very useful point and a decent performance against a team who were not far off the play offs and protected by a terrible referee
I came away encouraged

An occasional gasp at a misplaced pass, but the Oxford crowd stayed well behind the team and gave a long ovation at the end.

Worst performance in the League for 4 years Seriously, a good away point with encouraging displays from the debutants, especially Worley. Important that the side develops a good defensive base, then the creative types of Deering, Potter and Cole can do their thing. Attacking set-pieces need some work and Philliskirk looked a little daunted. Far too early to draw any conclusions. I’m cautiously optimistic and a bit more relaxed now that the campaign is up and running. Best performance in the League for 4 years

RadOx made an excellent point when they said that over the last four season we had got used to winning the majority of our matches and that maybe we had to drop our expectations a little now that we were back in the League. Given that, an away point was a good result.

You can't read too much into the first few games of any season, let alone being in a new league.
A draw away from home is good.....at any time during the season.

Encouraging start. The season only really starts back at home, as Oxford's tremendous home record will tell you, so being able to keep a clean sheet in preparation for it is very encouraging. Bury shouldn't be nearly as tough as Burton were.

Better than us. They will probably go straight back up. We were very apprehensive and nervous, but we got better as the game went on. However, always felt Wednesday had another gear. Still, it was always going to be a tough start......and there will be plenty of other teams that come away from Hillsborough with a worse result than us.

Think a draw was a good start although I would have rather we had scored. Still a clean sheet, a point - not a bad start. Just dipping our toes in the water me thinks!

And yes I can see that happening. But no club is too big for league one. Leeds spent long enough there to realise that.
