The ref was very inconsistent when it came to pushing. You need to set your stall out and have a clear line on what is, and what is not, a push. Then proceed to give everything - players will soon cut it out when they know they are going to be penalised every time.
As for the players, yes Moore was up for some grabbing / groping / wrestling but what did you expect? With no pace that is evermore the way he will defend. And he did defend well - a clean sheet and he didn't get booked. He knows the game and what he can get away with, depending on the referee.
Harrad was decent, I was glad when they took him off (though his replacement was even more lively).

The ref was a real 'homer'. He gave almost everything Burton's way. A very poor display by him today. I don't think that the reffing is going to be much better that it was in the Conference  |

Yeah but it evens out as he missed a blatent burton free kick right on the edge which would have been very close to a red card as well!! You have little right to have a pop at him to be honest, what you say shows just how clueless you are. He made some shit decisions but we could never have had a penalty. |

Todays assistants will probably be conference referees and the referee will only have been promoted to the FL recently. |

Moore cheated a lot but the ref let him get away with it. i think he was more inconsistent than downright incompetent a la the conf refs.
Strictly speaking the pull on beano was a pen but it would have been extremely soft. It was the repeated and fairly blatant handballs which were missed which galled me more.

Today's made three or four poor desicions and a few other questionable ones. He had a bad game, doesnt make him shit. Ronaldos had a shit game in the past, does that make him shit?
