A chap called Dan Hearn from the Oxford Mail has been in touch with me. He writes "We're looking to do a big news piece on Saturday about Oxford's first match and would to get a snap either tomorrow or Friday of a group of fans with their tickets." Pointing out to him that this was a bit vague, he came back and said 2pm Friday (tomorrow) outside the ground. So if there are a few of you going to Burton who fancy a moment of unmatchable fame (well, your pic in the Mail on Saturday) and are not doing your day job or whatever, you could consider going down to Grenoble Road for 2pm tomorrow. You could even tell him about TiU

Lazy bastard, he expects people who have tickets to go back to the stadium to be photographed. A decent journalist would have made sure he was there when the ticket office was busy then shot fans then surely.

Probably only those wearing the ghastly home shirts so they can have Bridle Insurance on the front cover of the paper

I think you've come to the wrong place to ask for help for the OM

This is a brilliant idea. Maybe it can be mobilised for the Bury game?

why has everyone got a problem with the mail all of a sudden (is it all of a sudden). they've been supportive of oufc for as long as i can remember, have i missed something? what's happened to annoy everyone so much other than the fact that people don't like the format of the new forum?

The paper is overpriced and their TIU mods were a bunch of jumped up useless tarts...well Dave Mcmanus was anyhow..if it wasnt for OUFC they wouldnt have any readers at all...dunno what they will do now as they have always lifted stories from TIU.....pound to a penny one of the cretins are on here and will lift the stories from here instead.

It's not just the format of the new forum though, it's the way they dealt with the TiU membership which has been loyal to their site for years and thereby helped them retain and grow their advertising. There was no consultation with the membership about the move or what our new "home" should look like. When people decided to vote with their feet to this forum and tell other members about "Yellows", many were summarily banned. This has left a very bad taste in the mouth. OUFC has fallen out with the Oxford Mail before and survived. Let's face it, their football reporting is average at best anyway!
