Did anyone else listen last night?
Between 10-10.30 they focused on League Two. They had an interview with Peter Taylor & the panel were all saying Bradford were a good bet for promotion due to his experience. Taylor doesn't think we'll be as strong as Stevenage.
They also had Chris Day, the Stevenage stopper on. He mentioned about 'going up the right way, as champions.
You could almost hear the bitterness in his voice.
Claridge was saying how we are the 2nd biggest clubin the division after Bradford.

I'm quite happy to come in under the radar! As I and a number of other have said, if no one rates us that will be fine by us, they will come to Kas Stad expecting to get something this should allow us to play and when away from home even better as they will expect to win.

After four years in the BSP where the pressure was on us every game it's going to be great to be regarded as underdogs again.
The more people who underestimate us the better. We'll revel in it. League 2's going to be tight and there won't be much difference between anybody. Getting on a roll and playing with confidence will reap big benefits.
I know I'll enjoy it more without the stress and pressure on us every week.

Since it is highly probable that none of them have actually seen Oxford play that's the sort of comment you would expect.

I'm more than happy for us to get on with our business. It'll be nice to be unfancied for a change. How anyone can tip Stevenage to be stronger than us is quite a statement. I think our squad looks very strong and we are well placed for a decent season.
Some muppet on Sky Sports News earlier was tipping Torquay! FFS, they really struggled last season, but had an ok run in. He seemed to think they would be a danger this season.
Bradford, fair enough, but the Chavs and Tourkey? Do me a favour.
See you at Burton.

I still don't get why people in the media worship Peter Taylor so much. He's been reasonably successful in the lower leagues but has had 6 clubs in 9 years. Over rated.

A bit of a poor man's Venables, the media only like to remember the good bits about both of them. The 'pundits' were coming out with the old 'he's done it at this level' cliche on 5 live, which means absolutely sweet FA. I still don't get why people in the media worship Peter Taylor so much. He's been reasonably successful in the lower leagues but has had 6 clubs in 9 years. Over rated.
