Bit off piste this one.
I'm currently in crisis, I'm down to my last drink of my favourite bourbon but my usual, and best equipped, local merchant can't get anymore and I'm unwilling to pay over the top internet prices. Does anyone have any specialist wine/spirit merchants near them, if so can you let me know their phone numbers so I can contact them. Thanks everyone.

In the same way champagne can only be made in the Champagne region of France. Bourbon can only be made in Kentucky, otherwise it's just American whiskey. JD is an American whiskey, It's mass produced and mass marketed, not a patch on small batch bourbon.

Have you tried the Whiskey Shop. One along Turl Street in Oxford, and I believe they have several branches around Scotland too. Google it, I think they do home deliveries too.

Yes, I felt compelled to by some. That Panda was quite intimidating, I might get whacked if I didn't comply....

Is Moet & Chandon not mass produced?

Is Moet & Chandon not mass produced? Correct on both accounts moobs, I used these as a very loose example. However, as your examples are mass produced they are very, very easy to get hold of and as I'm looking for a small batch bourbon it's proving a lot harder to track down. That's why I tried this thread in the hope someone somewhere might come up trumps.
