I only realised the other day when Slappy mentioned that they have been on sale for weeks that the tickets were available. I have paid close attention to the website and thisisoxfordshire but there seems to be a lack of publicity for our first home game of the season. I don't know if I'm going blind or have missed any info on it but there hasn't been enough drive from the club to get everyone down there. I bought my tickets yesterday and the club has only sold 2,000 so far which is disappointing so I hope they drive sales through this week with just 7 days to go.

That is uncanny! Just 5mints after my initial post! The guy on the phone said we have only sold 2k as of yesterday morning so hopefully they are selling quicker now as the time nears.

Sent the missus to get mine thismorning Normally [like pre non league days for the younger ones on here ;D] the 1st round of the league cup was always a low attendance. Do you think this will be the case this year or will the 'feelgood factor' kick in and we'll have a decent crowd?

I guess the eternal problem, and no disrespect to Bristol Rovers, unless you get a glamourous tie a lot of season ticket holders will give it a miss as it's not part of their ticket book and therefore they would need to spend out for an extra match so early in the season.
On the other hand, coupled with the feel good factor, this is the first home game of the new season for us, so I for one figured it was worth going to, plus at home, this is a potentially winnable game, which who knows, could lead to a prem side in the next round

Bristol Rovers at home is, barring the play offs, as glamourous a game as we've had for four seasons. Surely ST holders won't be this picky this early?
KT did mention at the fans forum that tickets were already on sale for the Bristol Rovers game.
I think the club could have put a reminder or two out a bit earlier than the end of last week though.
There's a full week left to get the message out now. I'd expect ticket sales to ramp up in the next few days.
