I know pre season is not all about results, and fitness and team selection come into it, but knowing how much CW does not like losing this pre seasons results might hurt a little.
2 win 3 draws 3 loses
I know on paper we are a better team, and we have cover in many positions with players fighting for places, but we have not really hit the decks running so far, and we don't look like a team yet. I hope it does not take a few more games before CW knows his best 11 and formation.

The really worrying thing is that if you ignore the Didcot match we have managed to only score 4 goals in 7 matches. Equally worrying is that of the 4 we have let in 3 came from poor defending from free kicks outside the area!
I can see that better training can help the latter. But the former is really worrying.

I think Wilder chose his 2nd team this evening and told them if they want to play they are going to have to perform together. Unfortunately that went a bit pete tong but I wouldn't as DaBigFella say that Potter and Deering are ONLY impact subs. Potter was played RCM and Deering LCM from what I gathered at kick off. I'd never put them in that role personally, at least not together.

Well, CW wasn't there tonight so I doubt he gives a flying f**k about tonight's result!
Lets hope the old saying about 'poor pre-season leads to a good season' comes true.
