Am getting excited with the prospect of the 1st game of the season already.
But... wanted to say, after the euphoria of last season, winning play offs, promotion, we have to keep our feet on the ground!
Whether we win 3-0, draw 0-0 or lose 3-0, we shouldnt read much into it, be negative afterwards, start slamming the team & club.
Look at Norwich last year, got hammered by Colchester 1st game of the season.
So lets be level headed!

Level headed!!!! What's the point of being a football fan if you have to be level headed. After the first game of the season we will either be nailed on certs for promotion or calling for Wilder's head - there is no level headedness about it.

It'll be a difficult game for us, I'd be happy with getting a point on the board and take it from there.

Three games at the Pirelli and three wins, 1-2 2006/07 season, 1-2 2007/08 season, 0-1 2008/09 season. Let’s make it a fourth straight. Question, who was the last team we bet 4 straight away?

I hope the first game back in the league is a comfortable win, but as others have said, don't read too much into it. A season is not decided on the first game of the season. The confidence in the team from promotion will be the key this season. It's good the team that won the play off final as held together.

I would be happy with a draw, would love to win it obviously, but a draw would do

I would be very pleased with a point away from home against Burton. I don't expect us to win - I just expect a good performance, and for us to have a real go at it. I think it will be quite nice going into some games as underdogs for a change, and if Burton have any real aspirations they should be looking at beating us on their own patch. You never know......with 1500 yellows in good spirits and the winning mentality still evidnt in the camp, Burton might get a hell of a shock!
