Looked out of sorts and lacking confidence tonight - a real shame to see him like that.
Could benefit from a loan spell where he gets regular football at a decent club like Rushden or AFC Wimbledon.

He'll be remembered forever by Oxford fans for his goal at Wembley but the team has moved on now.

I disagree, I think he's got a part to play...

If you can get Green on form he could be important to the team, however I think at the minute we have strikers in form ahead of him and can't afford to give him games to find his form.
If he could find his form he could also be used as abit of a super sub.
Maybe his pace is the one thing our front line is missing?

I disagree, I think he's got a part to play... If he sticks the part he has played in the last couple of months, then yes, I agree.

Wilder likes Green and would be reluctant to get rid.
If Midson can cut it at this level than so can Green. He has pace, strength and scores goals.

He did alright and played better than Potter did in my opinion at Torquay.

Im in the keep green camp.
to win games sometimes you need something different... an X factor. and whilst we have better forwards, i would say its him (for his pace) and beano (for his bustle) that have it.

I like Matt Green also, and think it would be a mistake to get rid of him, he has got brilliant pace, and is a lot stronger than our other quick forward ( Potter ) so its important to keep him as he gives us other options upfront. Thought he played well down at Torquay the other week.

I would like us to keep Matt Green for this season and next season if we are still in L2 (would have to re-evaluate if in L1 which, imo, is highly improbable). If he can have 3 or 4 1st team games in a run it will do him the world of good but getting them at OUFC is highly unlikely at the moment considering where he is in the pecking order.
So, I would like him to go out on loan to get a month (or longer if with a 24 hr recall clause after 1st month) of 1st team football if the club taking him on loan can guarantee that. Make the offer to BSP clubs with no loan fee with a reasonable wage contribution and then OUFC may get the agreement to sign him on loan with guaranteed 1st team involvement. Obviously, the higher up the league the better but I would be surprised if the likes of Forest Green, Histon and Hayes & Yeading weren't interested at the very least. It all depends whether clubs could agree to a guaranteed 1st team role for him and whether he would want to go.

Well Midson can't, so...... i really dont see how you can say this? nickmerry doesn't rate Midson. Midson has a goal in every other game at this level - perfectly up to standards but each to their own.

Keep Green, will be used over the rest of the season, keep all we have got if you ask me,why start to break up a winning team..?? They know they are all fighting for 11 starting places,an must do there best to get that... One good thing to see thou is most of our strikers can now play with each other,an know how each other play, only take one injury an we have someone who can step into that place...
