On the basis of their game at Harlow we should have had 350 police officers at the Kassam on Saturday. I hope the TVP don't share tactics with their Essex counterparts.

IMO all the overkill 'policing' or intimidating , whatever you want to call it,( & at a lot of footy matches in england) has a lot to do with cuts in funding to police authorities who are using football matches to 'justify' that local authorities at least rethink the cuts in budgets. EG there were blatantly too many of Hampshire police at Aldershot last week.... just like the Northampton, Gillingham (etc) recent matches at the kass stad - Footy fans in general are used to police excesses so are less likely to complain too vociferously and under a tory (led) government complaints against the police are invariably ignored- as we are only too aware, even the local rag chooses NOT to publish letters about OTT policing on matchdays .... its not hard to work out that Newsquest finacially fund the current prime ministers party is it?-
TVP wont share anything with anyone not even themselves I reckon : )
