Just wanted to say that I would like Chris Wilder to reflect on the magnificent support the team received today. The reason I say today is because the fans stayed loyal and patient because the team gave 100% for the cause and that is all fans can ask for.
There have been some wretched home performances this season and whilst Wilder was honest enough to admit the Southend performance was ‘rubbish’, the performances in other home games up to that time were also sub standard..I’m thinking Torquay, Gillingham, Northampton, Barnet and Macclesfield.
Again, Wilder has identified that home performances have been lacking but I don’t think enough has been done to address these faults home game on home game. The frustration in the performances mentioned above was the amount of hoofing aimlessly up the pitch and even though a win may have come - a feeling that the team is progressing - did not. That is why supporters get frustrated and some make their feelings known.
Today was different. It boggles the mind after the totally clueless display against Southend and actually brings into sharper focus the inconsistency that has dogged the team at home.
I hope the ghost has been laid to rest. Well done to the fans for tremendous support today. Well done Chris and everybody involved. Keep it up by keeping the ball down!

yes it was a total transformation..McLaren's signing has a lot to do with that.
That's why the team was clapped off at half-time..for great passing football for 30 mins a la Man U.

We won like all those games.
A win is a win which I take with both hands!

I really believe that yestedays result could be a defining one in our season. Given the way we played had we lost that then the sense of deflation would have been immense and I think CW would have had a real job picking up the players. Not because he's not capable but natural reaction would be to think '**** me we have just steamrolllered them and got nothing' - that is hard to take.
But to win it in the way we did and to get the points and keep the momentum going could just be the three points that shape our season from here on in. I sense real belief and the timing of this run is just perfect. We haven't left things to late and found ourselves in the position where a defeat is unthinkable and any team in our form sitting just off the play off places is a very dangerous animal.
We look perfectley set, no pressure of relegation thoughts, automatic is still on and play offs look a genuine possibility.

We won like all those games. Are you being funny?? Look at the list of the games and the title of the thread. I like a win as much as any other fan however wins by default - because thats what 3 of them were - are not signs of positive progression and a challenge for top 7 finish. Yesterday was, and that, was the point of my comments. Apologies if this was not clear.

Home Wins - Quite surprisingly, only one team in Lge 2 has won more home games than us - Chesterfield.
But then on the other side no one has lost more than us at home.
