I just felt the song didn't really support the players, a bit like "we are the right side" The "dont wanna go home" song where it included Bradford and Oxford was good I always find the "this song doesn't support the team" argument a bit ridiculous. As pointed out plenty of songs at football matches don't actually have words that support the team directly... but the noise from singing (including any anti-Swindon ones) improves the atmosphere and that is what helps the team and players. .... particularly as I doubt very much the players can actually make out the words of songs anyway. They're probably a bit busy concentrating on the game. It's the noise that makes an atmosphere.

Atmosphere was good yesterday. As we are heading into the second half of the season you can sense a certain excitement in the fans. The excellent performance really helped too.
Great effort from the fans, there was even a bit of creativity in the songs....respect to the group singing the 'best trip' song constantly it stopped the stand from ever going quiet...woild have joined in if I knew all the words!

It was a bit of banter, it meant the stand never went quiet and the left side perked up. Worked well IMO.

How could you not know the words after it was repeated for almost 90minutes?

Even the bloke who sits next to me in SSL, and moans from start to finish was bursting with positive vibes yesterday. In common with the rest of us he applauded the team off at half time. That made me proud to be an Oxford fan, both team and supporters can be well satisfied with the performance. If we get a result at Northampton on Saturday then with two home games coming up back to back I would expect the supporter numbers to rise. Say a 10,000 gate for the Rotherham games on the 12th? Lets hope so.
