One thing I would say is that we have had an OTT police presence versus teams that have bought 90 supporters yet when playing an established football league side with the largest home support in the country - not a copper in in sight, a bit odd! A Set up by any chance? Surley not Looking to sit through hours and hours of CCTV looking for an easy OXFORD conviction? No police in or around the priory either... There were 2 of them lurking behind the burger caravan thing. Keeping away from the Bradford fans at the far side. Al least they weren't pissing anyone off.

The chopper made a single pass a bit into the first half but didn't seem to hang around.

AS a football supporter who has no interest or association with the so called hooligan ellement, it came as a suprise to me that about a dozen mouthy Bradford fans had free range to goad and attack Oxford fans behind the East stand in the car park immediately after the game. After reading numerous accounts of how roughty toughty Oxfords unmentionable crew who nudge nudge wink wink nobody really knows but we are, we are really hard and fight anyone but don't like to talk about it, don't let anyone take liberties. Have to say sorry didn't see any of you. Fair play to the Oxford fans who helped protect the numerous women, children in the car park....Bradford took s cheap an easy option... Maybe, just maybe, you might need someones help in a similar situation. ironic really.

don,t worry yellow hoods TVP will be seen in force a week today at 6 fields after all its an easy nicking considering the over reaction to the earlier home match DONT walk on the cracks in the pavement smell of foreign food wear a loud shirt during the hours of darkness OR walk around with an offensive wife OR YOU WILL BE NICKED !!

A group of Bradford Children were trying to break through the stewards outside the North Stand. That's all I saw.

Saw Mr Phillips walking around the South Stand eyeing up any Oxford fan he walked past and trying to see whether he could get them done, tw*t!
Or maybe he was off duty on the look for a bit of rough?

Are you suprised ! have you not heard, tvp have smashed them, they are finished, no more, broke up, a spent force, gone into hiding, not never to be seen again... With what could be upto 50 on bans, if you include those on bail conditions, that's it, it's over tvp will now have to concentrate on dealing with "normal" fans, there will be no more "intelligence unit", no more tvp over time, no more jollies to watch games while looking after our fans, they will all be back on the beat now and with all that extra man power available on the streets, the criminals better watch out, we should see crime figures going down now. tvp have achieved their no 1 priority, and can now get on with less menial tasks and try and catch criminals.

Counted at least 7 cars and 2 vans that went past us.
I appreciate that the police tactic for handling these situations is to present a show of force but that must have totalled 50-60 officers for a few chavs and men who should know better and likely will never grow up.

Some of you really are amazing. You continuosly moan about over-policing and now you are complaining that they were nowhere to be seen, which is it to be ? For info, I walked out from the North Stand and past the Bradford fans and there were quite a few of the police and specials 'guarding' them, i would say a justifiable number. After that I saw one small police car shooting past with the blue light on, don't know where the others mentioned elsewhere were.

It did seem a bit odd that for months we have had major police presence, then when we get a match with a healthy away crowd there are no police around,no licence granted by the council for the outside bars,so a few hundred mixed home and away fans were going to meet at a very small bar,all frustrated at not getting served ,could have easily gone very wrong, then the police, all two of them turn up around 2pm,when it was hotting up,the police said to me today they did not object to the licence today, but it was rejected, and its only the police that can stop these, unless the council were very strict in the 14 day prior notice ruling on temps, after my mothers death on boxing day i did not get the form in until 4th jan,and gave good reason for needing a temp for the game, but it was rejected,we have 12 temps for 2011,so we have to use them wisely, sat 29th jan,the 3 in april, and we save the rest for aug to dec !! things will get interesting !!

Tim, the Bradford lads were shepherded immediately into the garden weren't they? They were well lubricated when they arrived and were singing loudly in the bar, which like you say could have gone wrong. Lucky it didn't. Like you say, strange no TVP to be seen.

Perhaps the 'no show' by tvp was due to the criticisms on this forum and the chance that the Ox mail have got wind of it? Sounds cynical but they (tvp) may have hoped it would all kick off -then that would have justified their previous heavy handed approach? Might not be that far fetched, these forums are monitered.

A proportionate response based on opposition 3. Using the powers they have apprporiately and aganist the correct miscreants
