Cameron is like an estate agent......telling you what you want to hear.
In Turkey he tells his audience (the Turks) that they deserve to be part of the EU.
In India he tells his audience (the Indians) that Pakistan are not doing enough to combat terrorists.
In USA he tells his audience (the Americans) that Britain was the junior partner in 1940.
Your theory would of course work but for:
1. Delivering a very tough budget and delivering some huge cuts as reqiured)
2. Telling Pakistan to buck up their game
1. Saying the financial situation is far worse than it actually is (based on the figures from Cameron's new lapdog, oops sorry, independent Office for Budget Responsibility) and making cuts far too quickly risking a double dip recession. Cuts also risk frontline services yet claims frontline services won't be cut (ie. majority of police budget is staffing and majority of Home Office budget is policing yet Home Office has to find 25% savings when crime is at its lowest regardless of Cameron's claims of the contrary with false stats that he has been warned about).
2. Not bright with the comment about Pakistan when they have entered into a war with the Taliban in the tribal areas on the border with Afghanistan. The Pakistan Army have lost soldiers as well as the British, US and other countries' forces in Afghanistan. Can Pakistan do better? Absolutely but so can the UK, the US, the Indians, The Russians, the Germans, the French etc, etc. Also, Cameron and the Tories cuts also threaten to significantly cut the budgets for anti-terrorism work! Nice to have a go at Pakistan when the UK will be cutting back, well until something happens, then Dave C will have a clever soundbite and promise to put more money in.
