I thought the whole midfield yesturday were outstanding, but Mclaren was the most impressive. His work in defence and attack like already has been said was superb, he did exactly what he was brought in for, so indeed he is a cracking signing, can take set pieces well, not afraid to put his foot in and tackle, and passes the ball around extremely well. He helped get a lot of our attacks started, very impressed.

Absolute class. Stood out in a side that could have beaten anyone yesterday. Is he here till the end of the season, cuz if he plays like that for the rest of the season, I'd offer him a further year. Well Chris for picking up another gem.

And at last we have someone who can take a very good corner.

McClaren was excellent and now I know why Wotton was returned to sender! McClaren just seemed to be everywhere, with excellent distribution and a finely tuned football "brain" Brings the best out of the midfield and hopefully the younger lads, Payne, Hall et al can learn from his craft.

Immense in all facets and takes a decent corner. Not only showed the best of himself, but brought it out of others too.

Best player of his type that we have had for a very long time on that showing. If he is consistently that good then we have a seriously good footballer on our hands. Was the catalyst for nearly all our build up play.

Jesus, some of our fans really do not have a clue. Nevermind that great 1-on-1 save at the end from Clarke, we didn't score from a single one of his goal kicks. Proof enough he had a poor game.

I can't recall any previous player who had such an outstanding home debut. I have found it hard to get excited about CW's loan signings and I said as such on this forum when he signed but i couldn't have been more wrong!

First touch assist Second touch goal Or something like that! I thought he was God in football boots!
