Best game I've seen him. I'm a Kinni fan but if Tonkin plays like that again... wow, he was just superb

Fair play Beav. Nice to see you acknowledge a top performance.

Well said Beav. You've been very critical of Tonkin (harshly at times in my opinion), but good to see you acknowledge an excellent performance. Bradford struggled to cope with Batt and Tonkin bombing forward and their fullbacks, particularly on the right, looked a wreck by full time.

Kinniburgh ,for me this season, has been a let down, but probably less to do with his actual performances and more to do with the fact that he was THAT good for us before that I probably expected a bit much. Who knows.
I think that since Tonks was given a chance to break back in to the team that he has been gradually getting better and was outstanding today. One of the star performers, which isnt bad for a team that played as well as we did today!

Glad he's back to form. When he is he works well with Wright.

I'm proud to have been Tonks' staunchest ally and he displayed today the all action style that makes him a must starter. Kinniburghs time will come but Tonkins the more complete player.

Kinniburgh's time will come but Tonkins the more complete player. On the basis of today - I cannot agree more. I think people forget that Tonkin has a decent level of experience at League 1 and League 2 and I just think he adds that bit of something that a seasoned pro gives as opposed to a younger player whos performances can smack of inconsistency. Big of you to admit that you might have got him wrong though.

He wasn't a few weeks ago though. The only complete thing about him was that he looked completely out of hid depth. Not really having a dig as any player can suffer a loss of form and it is good to see one of the men who helped us win promotion at wembley playing well and back in the side, but it has to be acknowledged that bringing Kinniburgh in when Wilder did was probably the right decision, in the same way as bringing Tonks back now seems to have also been.

Not that good but better thank Kinni (obviously) I still think potentially - if both players played their best that Kinni would be better. But potential v consistency it seems. I think next season may be Kinniburghs season. The biggest differnces between them is Kinniburgh has a very good cross and Tonkin has 258games (and 12 years) of experience.

Totally agree with the praise for Tonks. His best performance in a Yellow shirt.
The rest were pretty good as well. Really hope we keep MacClean and I'd start with Beano over Jack every time.

Kinniburgh didn't exactly pull up any trees when he came in though. Thats why I was calling for Tonkin to be reinstated. People were gushing over Kinny but he looked way off form in the games I saw him.

Agreed, but at the end of the day Tonkin was on such a stinker of a run its unsurprising Kinni was brought in, and the arguments against the reinstatement of Tonkin when Kinni did not set the world alight were based (i think) more on Tonkin's dire form rather than a negative assesment of Tonkin as an individual.
