Does anybody go to games on their own? I don't have a season ticket but go to a good hunk of home and away games. I had a st up to about 2004 but since then I sit anywhere in the ox mail with a mate. He can't make bradford and neither can my father (fallback option).
Do I go and sit on my own? Are you ever really on your own?

Living in Southport I often go to matches both home and away by myself. I dont find this a problem and normally get chatting to other fans. I always have a couple of pints in the Priory pre match. I do often wonder how many fans are similiar to me and have travelled a long way and are at the match on their own. I think a small area in the priory for exiles where fans that have travelled some distance could meet up on matchdays would be good. In answer to your question go on your own as you are not really by yourself.

I go on my own most of the time. As a 60 mile away exile who has never lived in Oxford, I have no OUFC supporting mates - although I do drag one along sometimes and they seem to enjoy it (or at least say they do!). I also bring my son occasionally and once my daughter even came along. As an ST holder who has sat in the same place for the last few seasons I know my neighbours well enough to have a good chinwag, and (as SouthportOx says) get chatting to whovever is round me at away matches, or to fellow Yellow travellers if I go on the train.

Yeah, since being out of the UK for over 5 years, when I came back for the Final last year I didnt know anyone.
So flew on my own, was at the Priory on my own, on my own on the coach, sat on my own. But to me it doesnt matter whether you go with 20 or 30 or on your own, every supporter counts

I nearly always travel to matches on my own. I might meet people for a drink before the game, but they're nearly all East Standers, so I go into the North Stand alone. It's fine! Been that way for years.
At away matches you rarely feel "alone" even if you're not meeting anyone. Just find the Oxford pub!

I used to work with a guy who supported Crewe,he was born and bred in Oxford but said when he was a kid he saw the results on BBC and just liked the name Crewe Alexandria. He had a battered old mini and used to drive all over the country just to watch Crewe. It must of cost him a fortune but he didnt care, never saw them win anything, but it didnt matter he was one of the most enthusiastic fans i have ever known. Oxford were 2 divisions above Crewe so we used to mock him something terrible, but it was all water off a ducks back to him.We would work overtime on a Saturday till 12,he would change into his Crewe shirt, scarf laid out on the back window, drive up to Crewe,2 pints, watch the game then drive home. His dad was landlord of the Exeter hall pub on the cowley rd,we popped in there one day and we asked him about his son,"mad as a hatter" he said "needs to get a girlfriend" Havent seen him in about 15 years and sometimes wonder if hes still bombing up the M6 in his old batterd mini?

I have always gone on my own. But one of the good things about all seaters is that you are stuck in one place and you tend to get on with your neighbours after a while (unless you are a miserable git!) and you aint on your own any more! ;D ;D

Never been on my own to a game! Travelled alone a couple of times, but always met up with people outside the ground

I tend to walk on to matches, mainly with hope in my heart and through the rain and through a storm -That way i find i never walk alone for some reason... Depends, the majority of matches i go with my youngest lad -then 'bump into' the many faces i have got to know over the years!!

There is a woman that goes on her own, sits in oxford mail stand with dark hair, also i have seen her on her own at away games. She has to be oxfords number one fan.
