The Melbourne Arms (smallish pub), Melbourne Lane, NN5 6HS or The Squirrels Inn (slightly larger pub), Main Road, NN5 6JF both in Duston. We generally park at the Melbourne and walk down the lane (after a few beers!) into Hall Close then down Millway to the Sixfields roundabout. It's normally quiet in Duston, away from any OTT policing and idiot doormen......or you can chance your luck at the Sixfields Tavern!  Both of those in Duston are usually pretty good, pretty cheap grub at the Squirrels Inn and normally a bit of banter in the Melbourne Arms (except if you ask for the football to be put on the tv, the regulars prefer channel 4 racing!). |

Chose either of those 2 Duston pubs for 2 real village pubs just a nice 8 mins walk and free parking in side streets and easy to get from / onto A43. 1 min away is FRANKIE & BENNY's and is best of that 'type' as footie friendly and can leave car there BUT ask the boss Phil or Lisa first  ! NOT the Bowling, nor TGI and defo not Sixfields Tavern. Don't park on Sixfields complex please or else WILL get clamped - cost yer £40 to get out!  |
