Select the three you'd go for...The actual decision is probably more the one to play alongside McLaren and Clist because I cant see them being dropped...Anyway, interesting to see who's favoured, I get the feeling its going to be very mixed.
Write the combination you've gone for because it just shows individual votes in the poll.
I'll start things off with McLaren, Payne and Heslop.

I went for the bottom 3 because no one else did. :-)

Hall, Heslop and Maclaren
As much as I like Clist, especially his workrate etc, I just think he gives the ball away far too often. Would prefer the attack minded Hall and Heslop in there as Maclaren will sit in front of the back 4.

Gobsmacked that Alfie didn't have more votes.
Are people voting for what they think Wilder will choose or their preferred three?
He's our only creative outlet who actually panics defences and changes the dynamics of a game.

If we are choosing our Midfield based on 433 then I certainly wouldn't put Alfie in there. Wingers are inherently drawn wide no matter where they are supposed to play and this would cause our formation to end up being 424, and people think we can be over run in midfield at the moment.
In my opinion in that formation if Alfie is to play it has to be as one of the forward roles.

P.S. I went for McLaren, Clist and Heslop (with Payne coming on after 65 to freshen things up. For who depends on the situation).

Very surprised how many votes there are for Hes. He just slows everything down...

He's also our most potent goal threat from Midfield.

I wouldn't play him in a midfield three, but think he would definitely be a starter for me if we played 4-4-2.

Voted Clist, McLaren and Payne.
Tough call between Payne and Heslop. Think Heslop has dipped more since the start of the season.
As said on another post. McLaren has been subbed for Heslop in both his games to date. Unclear if that is a long-term fitness concern.

McLaren has n't played much football since leaving Tranmere in Oct/Nov. so his match fitness will take a bit of time to build back up again.
Heslop is not a bad option though to come on late in a game.
