With half a season gone and most teams played at least once, who feels they know what the top 7 places will end up being. My predictions are as follows - . 1st - Chesterfield 2nd - Wycombe 3rd - Bury ................................
4th - Rotherham 5th - Gillingham 6th - OXFORD UTD 7th - Shrewsbury .................................. Play off Final (At Old Trafford) OXFORD UTD v Shrewsbury . OXFORD UTD playing league 1 football next season

I think with our home form, a midtable finish is more likely. But its nice to dream

Very tricky. Complete speculation, but I'll give it a go: 1st - Chesterfield 2nd - Bury 3rd - Rotheram 4th - Wycombe 5th - Shrewsbury 6th - Port Vale 7th - Gillingham/Oxford/Cheltenham

But it would be odd for our resident Yarnited fans actually going to OT for a game of football! Personally, I think we'll finish 10th. To be honest, I think anything from 22nd and above is great!

Think back 7 games and things were very different. Nice to be optimistic though. :-)

Oxford - 3rd Place - Last game of season we'll move into third. Bit like the year we overtook Blackpool to get promoted.

My start of season prediction was 10th-12th and I'll stick by that. We have too much quality to be much lower, and too little consistency (and a defence that is too leaky) to be any higher.

With the proper investment by IL the owner we could reach the playoffs. Signing of Maclean and 2 others of the same quality, midfield and defence we would imo reach the playoffs. Now would be a good time to invest in the team and give us a chance to step up to the next level. We are averaging above the breakeven figure of 6300. The last 2 home games had attendances of 9400 and 7400 well above the 6300.
Lets go for it, Div 1 next season you know it makes sense.

Pretty much my prediction at the start of the season too and I'm sticking by it. Top half finish would be a good achievement in my view, but should the good away form continue and we start picking up points at home too, who knows what may happen?

Do we have the finances to go and STAY up?
Monetry wise it'd be best if we lost in the play-off final then go up the season after wouldn't it?

I think it has been a good time to hit form and there is no reason why we cant have a better second half to the season than the 1st. So out of the remaining 23 games, I say we will win 13 of them, draw 5 and lose 5. That would give us 44 points on top of what we have. Where that will take us, I dont know, but close to the playoffs

About where we are now. 8th or 9th tops. Our home form I think has buggered us up already.

The head says top half, possibly top ten, but the heart says play-offs.
Mostly it will depend on people's attitude at home games.

I predict a mid-table finish, then wilder pretty much bins the squad and starts again.

With the proper investment by IL the owner we could reach the playoffs. If the budget allows it, then that's fine. I would not want the debt to increase on the basis of a small chance of going up. If we were in and around the automatic promotion positions, then maybe it could be justified.

I think I would be downright nervous if we got promoted this season. Sure, we are an a good run of away form at the moment, but we have still lost six home games. We have yet to fully adjust to League 2 tactics. We have, as been said many times a young, developing squad, promotion this season would be an over achievement. I would rather have another season in League 2 and go for, say, automatic promotion slot than have a tentative season in League 1 where we would, possibly, struggle. Relegation memories are still fresh, if not as raw as they were and I would not want to experience THAT again!

Daggers sneaked up last year, and they are tanking their way back down again. It will probably be the pinnacle of their footballing history, but I'd rather we don't do the same.
