Thought it might be fun to post up some players who are currently available given that it's now the January transfer window. Nothing serious, just to see who is available or who people would like to see approached over the coming weeks. Feel free to add players of your own. A couple to start off: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jérémie_AliadièreFormer Arsenal and Middlesbrough striker. 6'1" and 27 years old. Hasn't had a club since the summer after suffering a knee injury and being released by Boro. Claimed on Soccer AM a couple of months ago that he would play for any club in the Football League in order to get his sharpness back and put himself in the window. Currently said to be in talks with Yeovil over a deal until the end of the season. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danny_O%27Donnell_(English_footballer)Centre half who started his career with Liverpool. 6'2" and 24 years old. After coming through at Anfield joined Crewe on loan in League One and then made the move permanent. Played more than 100 league games in League One and Two over a three year spell before joining Shrewsbury on a 6-month deal in the summer. Made 14 appearances in League Two this season but left the club last week. Could be an option for centre back cover, and would be sure to increase the number of over 60's attending games due to his rather famous name!

Got to mention our ex-winger at Brackley - a hat trick this weekend. Just a thought if Cole and Deering leave. Nice match report here, think we can concur with the assessment of Franny Green ‘an ineffectual finisher’, more debatable a view of the ‘very impressive’ Willmott.

TBF i always thought willmott was a decent player. Not the most mobile and a bit injury prone but when fit he was a solid CB. Wouldn't get into the side now methinks but given how bad our defence has been at times this season i still think the motty of a few years ago could do a job there.

Only 2 weeks till end of transfer window. Anyone think there will be more activity at our club?
Personally I think we will keep MacClean but CW will have to offload someone. Possibly he is trying to offload Cole with no takers, but Green, Beano, Midson might go. Some suggest Swindon might come in for Beano should they get decent money for Austin.

I feel it would be a disaster - motivationally & for the fans - if Constable were to be sold. He is still our Captain, comes on & makes a hell of a difference (last Saturday for example) and other clubs would think us mad to let him go anywhere - let alone Swindon! Let's stop mentioning him on threads - we know he reads them.
