With most teams under financial restraints,it seems to be making the lower leagues far more even and interesting. With sky talking non-stop about the transfer window and even having a count down clock till the end of January, they seem to have missed the point that outside the Prem (and maybe QPR) nobody has got any money, but when did sky ever care about football outside the prem, they are more interested in foreign football than the football league. Anyway, back to the point,Aldershot in 20th place are only 10 points behind Crewe in 5th,if they could do what we have and win 5 out of the next 6 they would be on the verge of the play offs. This has got to be good for football because as the season progresses nobody wants there team marooned in mid table with nothing to play for (except fans of teams in the relegation spots) and hopefully will bring better crowds. League 1 is even closer than 2 ,with just 5 points covering 13 teams, the scum in 18th are just 5 points behind Sheff Wed in 6th. but they are only 6 points ahead of Bristol in 22nd who have 2 games in hand.Surely this has got to be good for football? P.S. the scums next 2 games are against Brizzle and Yeovil both below them,2 defeats and you never know, fingers crossed!

Interesting point - I've always believed that money and proffesionalism has taken all the passion out of football, and as a result at the very highest level we see sub standard performances on a regular basis (England team for eg)
